Things are looking good as bankstown Council in Sydney cancelled the seminar, but as this protest holder reminds us, keep the banners ready. Does anyone remember an “Islam” free day? I certainly do, but then again, at forty years old, I am of the last generation to have lived enough of my adult life pre 9/11 to know what an Islam free day, an Islam free life, is actually like.

It is only a mere five years on, and the taint of Islam, what Islam wants and what Islam says, is so ingrained in our daily existence, that even I have to remind myself that this is utterly abnormal.

That pre 9/11, I barely knew or cared about Islam, nor did my varied circles of friends. Islam was not an issue. Today I actually struggle to remember what used to fill the news hours.

The absurd reality that one religion now fills our news and politics and is attempting to push into our legislation would have rightly been seen as unthinkable.

The new truth that to insult or even joke about somebodies religion, lifestyle, idealism or political view was actually punishable at all, let alone by death. That our Modern Civilisation would accept this as possible or even reasonable, pre 9/11 was unreservedly insane.

Where you one who saw it happen, either there in NYC or over the live broadcasts? I naturally assumed the first plane was an “accident”, one didn’t expect full scale slaughter in peacetime in those days, as it was not normal or okay to terrorize pre 9/11.

What of those, who are just eighteen or twenty today? How can these people ever fully understand what was taken from us. What of their children to come, who will not even have us left to tell them what freedom was like.

PROMINENT Australian Muslims have written to Lebanon's Prime Minister asking him to reject any offer of Australian peacekeepers.

Muslim community spokesman Keysar Trad and Sheik Taj al-Din al-Hilali sent a letter on August 10 to Prime Minister Fouad Siniora in which they said an Australian peacekeeping presence in Lebanon would not be in the best interest of Lebanon or Australia.

"Should Australian troops go into Lebanon, Australia's current counter terrorism laws will severely hamper debate in Australia about Lebanon's right to defend itself and those protesting to support Lebanon's independence may find themselves liable to imprisonment," the letter said.

"It's with this in mind that we ask the Government of Lebanon to refuse any offer of military assistance in the form of a peacekeeping force from Australia."

In the letter Mr Trad and Sheik Hilali said Australia had continually supported Israel, and the Australian government's position would compromise a fair peacekeeping force in Lebanon.

"The (Australian) Government has in parrot fashion repeated the mantra of the US government and has not asked for a cease-fire like other fair-minded nations,'' the letter said.

"In addition Australia has invariably taken Israel's side whenever an issue concerning that country is dealt with by the UN.

"We feel the Australian Government's position would compromise a fair peacekeeping presence in Lebanon, and that its participation would not be in the best interests of Lebanon or the people of Australia."

Australia currently has a dozen troops with the UN Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), part of the UN Truce Supervision Organisation which supervises the Lebanese, Israeli and Syrian borders.

This is both the UN and Australia's longest running peacekeeping mission.

Broken Hill 1915.

In 1915, (the same time as the Turks were slaughtering the Armenians) two Moslems living in Broken Hill responded to the call for Jihad from the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire. They placed an ice-cream cart near the railway line several kilometres out of town, and waited for a train to come along.

That was on New Years Day, and a train loaded with miners and their families,heading to nearby Silverton for a picnic day, was soon passing by. The train slowed as it approached the ice cream cart, and the Jihadists opened fire on a train which was loaded with unarmed men, women & their children. Several were killed, more were injured, before the train pulled away.

When the townfolk in Broken Hill heard the news, they took their rifles and went looking for the Moslem murderers. They found them not far from the scene of their cowardly attack, and the Moslems were shot and killed in the ensuring battle.

OSAMA'S BAGMAN IS ALIVE, WELL AND LIVING IN AUSTRALIA

The Western bureaucrats just refuse to get it. A few days ago I reported that membership to the Islamist Muslim Brotherhood still provides one with asylum in Australia. Yesterday, the Australian revealed that one of these Muslim brotherhood members, Syrian Ahmad al-Hamwi, Osama's bagman and relative through marriage, is living as an asylum seeker Sydney. He had to leave the Philippines because he was involved in a plot to blow up 11 planes. He is also directly related to BOTH world trade center bombings.

Hamwi is allegedly connected to the international web of Osama bin Laden, and his terrorist arm, al-Qa'ida.

Hamwi has been accused of being a senior al-Qa'ida bagman linked to the 1993 World Trade Centre bomber, Ramzi Yousef.

Living for a decade in the southwestern Sydney suburb of Riverwood, he has admitted he was a confidant of some of bin Laden's closest lieutenants, and he is a relative by marriage to the world's most wanted man.

Since Hamwi, also known by the alias Abu Omar, was given asylum in June 1996, it has been revealed he was a key figure in a Manila-based charity funding Yousef's terrorist cell, which was conspiring to blow up US airliners and assassinate Pope John Paul II.

Hamwi was, by his own admission to the Refugee Review Tribunal, a key figure in the Islamic charity known as the International Research and Information Centre.

According to Philippines National Police intelligence reports obtained by The Weekend Australian, Hamwi and his two colleagues at IRIC were funding Yousef's plans, codenamed Operation Bojinka, which were a harbinger for September 11.

Research by world-renowned terror expert Zachary Abuza also alleges that Hamwi was an "important money man for the cell".

"He (Hamwi) was the hand-picked executive director of the IRIC, which had little in the way of charitable works and I refuse to believe he did not know what was going on," Abuza told The Weekend Australian yesterday.

"At the time, (in the mid-1990s) the IRIC was involved in funding the MILF (Moro Islamic Liberation Front), al-Qa'ida and Abu Sayyaf, the group involved in military training with Jemaah Islamiah operatives."

According to Abuza, Hamwi helped bin Laden's brother-in-law, Mohammed Jamal Khalifa, with introductions to set up al-Qa'ida's network in Southeast Asia, and then ran IRIC for him as a front for terrorist financing.

The pair lived together for years and married Filipina sisters, Nora and Alice.

For Khalifa, this was one of two wives - his other wife is Osama bin Laden's older sister.

Today, the Federal Police affirmed that they "are 'aware' of man's al-Qaeda link but declined to elaborate further. Attorney-General Philip Ruddock also would not comment."

As the excerpts from the case repost attached below will show, Ahmad Al-Hamwi , members of his immediate family, his friend and associates are all members of the Muslim Brotherhood.

Halwi was granted asylum , on the basis, in part, of his membership of the Brotherhood. In this regard , readers attention is also drawn to the statement in the story from THE AUSTRALIAN concerning the questions the Tribunal put to DFAT aand ASIO:
The tribunal asked ASIO whether Hamwi was "directly or indirectly responsible for any acts of terrorism", and despite Hamwi being interviewed several times by the intelligence agency, "neither ASIO nor DFAT could or would provide any evidence to the tribunal in this regard".

Readers are urged to read the case report in full to gain a full understanding of the matters outlined above.

I am submitting , based on the facts disclosed in the case report and the story in The Australian that the matter of Ahmad al-Hamwi provides further evidence of links between Al-Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood, in particular how the Brotherhood and its members support financially the activities of Al-Qaeda and its affiliates.

If all this is leaving you a bit queasy, you are not alone. By the way, Hamwi's best "buddy" who was deported from the US, is alive and well and living in Saudi Arabia.

Rohan Gunaratna, head of the International Centre for Political Violence and Terrorism Research, told The Weekend Australian that Canberra had "in the past had a policy where people who were very much involved in terrorism could enter Australia".

But Gunaratna said this had now changed in the wake of the Bali bombings.

Preserving The Islamic Identity in The West Threats & Solutions

Should they gain the upper hand over you, they would behave to you as enemies, and stretch forth their hands and their tongues against you with evil, and they desire that you should disbelieve. [Al-Mumtahinah 60:2]

The Islamic identity of Muslims in Australia is rapidly being dissolved in the melting pot of this society. Clearly our identity is under threat as we see our ideologies, beliefs and manners give way to the ideologies, beliefs and manners of the Kuffar. The preservation of the Islamic identity has become a challenge rather than something we can take for granted. What makes this challenge unique, however, is that there is no Islamic leadership, no Caliphate and no country in which protection or guidance can be sought.

For a multitude of reasons, most of which are not in accordance with Islam, Muslims have been flocking to non-Muslim countries. Some come as refugees, many come for a better standard of living, others to get education, be near to their relatives, and some for Da' wah. The result of this is a new problem which has not existed for centuries - Muslims are being exposed, on an unprecedented scale to non-Muslim cultures and beliefs. In fact, many are now born in these countries, and instead of being raised with a sound Islamic identity, many are taking the Christian values of their 'adopted home'. It is of little surprise that we see many Muslims turn from Islam in later life. This article aims to expose some of the sources of misguidance for Muslims living amongst the Kuffar, as well as some solutions and defences we can employ.

The Islamic Identity

Firstly, it is necessary to define what is meant by the term "Islamic identity". The Islamic Identity is taken to mean the way of life of the Muslim - an all-encompassing set of beliefs, practices and ideologies as derived from the Qur'an and the example of Muhammad (s.a.w). The Islamic identity is that which separates us from the Kuffar.

Education

The education system is typically where the indoctrination process begins. Muslim school children are sent off by their parents to Kafir schools with good intentions of an education and a chance at a better life (in this world, at least). The children are placed in an environment where the mixing of sexes is not only tolerated but encouraged through the placement of children in multi-gender sporting teams and class groups. These children grow up to believe such behaviour is normal. This leads, in most cases, to the m passing off the Islamic requirement of segregated sexes as 'old fashioned' or 'backward'. After years in an environment as free as this, it is no surprise that we see so many young Muslims with 'boyfriends', and 'girlfriends'.

A major component of the education system is to turn the students into 'good Australians'. To be a good Australian means to obey the laws of the land even if they conflict with the laws of Allah (s.w.t). We see this from the earliest stages of the child's education in the form of flag-raising ceremonies each morning in which the children sing the national anthem and stand in respect as the flag of the non-Muslims is raised over their heads.

In later stages, the indoctrination becomes more advanced through subjects such as politics and legal studies. In these studies, the 'benefits' of western-style democracy and the Westminister system of government are taught. The children are taught that Shirk is the best form of government. They are taught that being a "good citizen" is about voting and participation in this Shirk-based system. By the time the child passes through the digestive tract of the Kaffir educational system, he or she will probably see him/herself as an Australian first and a Muslim second. The effect on the Islamic identity is that it is replaced with, in best case scenarios, a watered-down Islamic identity, and in the extreme case, a total Kaffir identity.

Every subject taught to the Muslim has a hidden agenda - to foster disbelief and moral decline. In Human Education, our children are being taught that being promiscuous is a 'natural part of growing up'. These enemies of Allah are even equipping our children with contraceptive devices, under our noses, giving them their tacit approval to commit adultery. These same classes teach that homosexuality is something that 'cannot be helped' and as such is a perfectly 'normal' kind of behaviour.

In History, we see a euro-centric view of the world in which the Christians are viewed as the only people worthy of any respect or any admiration. It is rare that mention is ever made of the great contribution made to the Occidental world from the Orient. It is even rarer that the names of the great Muslim scientists are mentioned. It is no wonder that many Muslim children end up with a sens e of shame in being Muslim. This shame is often shown in their refusal to use their 'Muslim names', e.g. suddenly Muhammad becomes known as 'Mike'.

When all the "good things" have been done by the Christians (according to their curriculum) can you honestly blame them? These seeds of shame planted in the mind of the Muslim child will bear the sour fruits of disbelief in later life and serve to ensure the Islamic identity is destroyed. Despite Australia' s claims of being a secular society, the education system places a heavy, though largely invisible, emphasis on Christian beliefs and practices. In the lead up to Christmas it is not extraordinary for even government-run schools to hold nativity plays, or make the students engage in Christmas-based activities, such as making Christmas cards or so forth. This, coupled with the fact that the Muslim student is probably a minority in a school full of Kaffirs, serves to pressure the Muslim child into adopting practices that are clearly not from Islam. The Muslim chil d will see his or her friends exchanging presents at Christmas and may expect the same at home. Often the schools present these Christian practices in such a way that the child may even be unaware that they are acting out the behaviour of the disbelievers.

It is important that parents are aware of this and take the necessary steps to prevent it or at least ensure it does not impact the child. Of course whilst the empirical source of this is the Kuffar and his puppeteer, the Shaytan, we cannot blame them entirely. We must also look to ourselves. Muslim families, having lost much of their Islamic values, have sold out to the West. By sending our children to kindergarten and child care centres we are sending our children to be suckled by the Shaytan. One need only look at the high number of child molestation' s that occur in these places to see the truth of this. It is out of neglect for our Islamic duties, and a love of dunia , that we neglect our children. Muslim mothers are choosing to work rather than stay home and ensure their children are educated Islamically. The so-called "woman's liberation movement" has indeed succeeded in " liberating women" - liberating them from the shackles of responsible parenting. Fathers, drunk on western commercialism, are emphasisi ng economic and material growth of the family unit over spiritual growth. If these children received the proper Islamic education at home, perhaps the wolves of disbelief would not find them such easy prey. Proper Islamic education should counter the lies and the corruption fed to the children in school. It should be presented in such a way as to engender a feeling of pride in Islam. Furthermore, it should cover Islamic history to offset the lies taught in History, Islamic law to offset the lies taught in Legal Studies. Parents must take responsibility for arming their students with correct Aqeedah and sound knowledge to defend themselves from these wolves and the decline of the Islamic identity.

Media

The media plays a critical part in non-Muslim society. Not only does the television serve as a window to the outside world, but for many families it also serves as a defacto baby-sitter. Muslims need to be aware that the view of the world presented by the television and indeed other mediums is through the eyes of a non-believer. We can see this non-belief represented in a number of areas, particularly in the coverage of the news and in the moral bankruptcy of much of the media content. The news provides us with an insight into the world around us. A world where Mujahadeen are called 'terrorists', where the Straight Path is called ' Islamic fundamentalism', and where all Muslims are misogynistic wife-bashers. Over time, this can engender a feeling of self-hatred in the adult and child Muslim viewer. It creat es a feeling of shame if constantly the word Muslim is used synonymously with everything bad in the world. When a Muslim no longer feels pride in Islam, then the progression to disbelief is easy. Adult Muslims should be sure to watch the news with a critical eye. They should be aware that what they are seeing is often far from reality, and they should use their understanding of Islam as a benchmark for determining the truth from falsehood.

Perhaps, the television's most significant effect is to take filthy, evil and unIslamic behaviour and give it a cloak of respectability. It serves to convince the Muslim viewer that what they are seeing is the social norm. A good example is the so-called love scene that forms such a crucial element in the Kaffirs' movie or TV show. They paint the picture that somehow in some sort of sick way that zina equates with love and is a 'natural' behaviour. It is only to be expected that after years of constant bombardment with this message that the initial disgust a Muslim feels subsides to acceptance. Next time your children have the television on, be warned that what they are watching contains messages designed specifically to enter the mind of the child or young person. In the case of many cartoons, for example, we see elements of idol worship coupled with the taking of partners with Allah Ta'ala. So many of these cartoons have a mythological underpinning with a focus on idolatry and false gods. All of these cartoons and so forth are laying the foundation for turning the children into Mushriks. For example Superman, where people in need call out to this caped Kafir in his underwear to save the day with his god-like powers. How many Muslim children spend their formative years acting out imagined scenes from Superman or other similar cartoons? This is something in direct opposition to the principles of Tawheed that we, as Muslims, should seek the help of Allah alone.

Many young people's shows also focus heavily on parental-child conflict and often attempt to paint this sort of behaviour as a 'normal' part of growing up. Typically, the solution to this conflict is either to fight back or to run away. In either case it teaches the children an Islamically inappropriate response to any conflict. Aside from showing us the outside world, the media dictates how we look at ourselves. It provides a benchmark for judging ourselves and others. The media shows us how others live, or how others behave. It defines how we view success, what qualities we see as admirable, what behaviour we see as normal. Take for example the so-called lifestyle shows that feature so prominently on TV. We see expensive houses, lavishly decorated with all the trappings of dunia and this is pushed onto us as the Australian ideal. If we are not strong in Islam then these media-generated standards get adopted as our own. We'll start to equate success with owning an expensive car or living in a big house. We'll start to think that beauty is dependent on how we look. We'll start to forget about the paradise that Allah has promised those that believe, and we'll start trying to create a 'paradise' right here in dunia. This is one of the major threats to our Islamic identity.

The best solution to the threat of the media lies in active censorship and in education. Active censorship means to be aware that what we are viewing is not necessarily the reality but rather a Kafir view of reality. We should constantly be evaluating the message or the content of a particular piece of media against our understanding of Islam to determine if it is right or wrong. Contrast this to a passive approach where the viewer sees the media as an infallible source of information, accepting blindly the message being presented without questioning its appropriateness in an Islamic sense. As adults we should likewise apply this to our children's viewing. We should pay close attention to the messages being fed to our children and be sure to counter anything unIslamic with sound evidence from the Qur' an and hadith as to why such-and-such is not good. This goes hand in hand with the education of the children to think Islamically and to know that what is Halal and Haram to a Muslim is not necessarily what is good and bad in a Kafir's view.

Mixing With the Kaffirs

It is a fact of life that we must, to some extent, keep close company with the Kuffar. This is almost unavoidable given that we work, study and, unfortunately, play with them. The Prophet (s.a.w.) said that whoever is with a people for 40 days or more begins to take on some of their characteristics. As such, we must be very careful of mixing with the Kuffar because, whether we realise it or not, we are assuming some of their behaviour and beliefs. Possibly this represents the biggest threat to the Muslim in this country because the media and education can easily be censored. Also, the indoctrination is far more open and direct, whereas through mixing, our Islamic identity' s erosion is far more sublime.

There are many ways in which too much contact with the Kuffar will lead to us losing our identities. The taking of Kuffar for close friends is something that Allah has clearly warned out in the Qur' an yet it is something so many of us do. With any friends, Kuffar or Muslim, it is natural that we will seek to please them. Allah tells us that the Kuffar will only be happy once we disbelieve. It therefore follows that the way that a Muslim pleases his Kuffar friend is to exhibit signs of disbelief. The Kaffir is probably not even aware that he is leading his friend astray, and probably neither is the Muslim. If a Muslim associates with the Kuffar, he will make efforts to 'fit in' with this group.

In order to 'fit in' we must act like Australians. Fitting in typically consists of adjusting our Islam to a religion more acceptable to the Kuffar we are associating with so intimately. It is this that gives rise to what Sayyid Qutb would call an apologetic mindset. Where Muslims feel inclined to explain every 'strange behaviour' to the disbelievers. " Well, those people who blow up busses in Israel.. they are not real Muslims". Often the first thing Muslims will modify is their style of dress. Whilst a seemingly trivial change, it often represents more than what it seems. When a Muslim sees the Kafirs dressed in a certain way, and chooses to imitate them to 'fit in', it's a compromise. Once a Muslim has compromised once, it becomes easier to compromise again. The beard gets shaved. The Hijab comes off. Halal meat gives way to Haram meat. Perhaps even a drink with his 'mates' after work becomes permissible. Eventually the Muslim is left with a watered-down, Kafir-friendly Islam that often bears more resemblance to the beliefs of the Mushrik than the Mo'min.

Muslims must be aware of the hidden effects of this. Furthermore , the best protection is to keep amongst other Muslims. Whilst it is a necessity for some contact with the Kuffar, we should limit it to the bare minimum and make sincere efforts to offset it with contact with other Muslims. This is an important part of keeping our Islamic identity and indeed keeping Islam alive in this country. The points mentioned are a few of many. Every aspect of Kafir society is designed to mislead us from the straight path, even if we cannot see it.

Conclusion

Narrated Samara bin Jundub, Allah's Messenger (s.a.w.) said: " Anybody (from among the Muslims) who meets, gathers together, lives, and stays with a Mushrik, and agrees to his ways, opinions, etc. and enjoys his living with him (Mushrik) then he (that Muslim) is like him (Mushrik)" [Sunan Abu Dawud - The Book of Jihad]

There is a defence that can be applied that will render every effort by the Kuffar useless, and serve to keep our Islamic identity intact. This defence is knowledge. The Muslim should arm himself with a correct Aqeedah and an awareness of what it means to be Muslim. Any attack, any attempt to subvert or mislead will then be in vain. If the Muslim knows the true nature of this society and if he can see how it is designed to mislead, then he will not fall into its traps. This ability to distinguish from right and wrong and chose right, comes from a correct Aqeedah. The strength of the family unit is also a defence. The father is the shepherd of the household and like any other shepherd he should protect his flock from the wolves. In this case the wolves are the Kuffar, and the protection is to pass the knowledge onto the children and his wives. The children should be provided with a sound Islamic education outside of their schooling.

This is imperative if the children are to be strong enough to avoid the many pitfalls they will face. They should be taught that the only truth in this world is the Qur'an and the Sunnah of the Prophet (s.a.w.) and that all else must be judged against these two noble criterion. Finally there is a solution guaranteed to remove the risks, and that is to remove oneself from amongst the disbelievers. It is therefore unavoidable that as long as we live here we will, through a process of cultural osmosis, take on some of the characteristics of the Kuffar. The likeness of Islam and Kuffar is like that of fresh clear spring water and water brought up from the bottom of a suburban sewer. If even a drop of the filthy water enters the clear water, the clarity diminishes. Likewise it only takes a drop of the filth of disbelief to contaminate Islam in the West. If we have it within our means we should therefore consider moving to a Muslim land whereby we can at least live amongst our brethren and within an Islamic society free from the contamination of the disbelievers.

The Validity of Residing in a Non-Muslim Country

It has become obvious that life in an unIslamic country can lead to a disaster in the Islamic identity of Muslims. Apart from the external, obvious shortfalls of residing in a non-Muslim country, initially there are serious Islamic consequences in terms of the legitimacy of residing in such countries. To guard the Muslim creed from corruption, Allah (s.w.t) has commanded the believers to maintain a certain uncompromising position when dealing with the disbelievers. Allah has reserved the Wala' (the inspiration of love, concern and help) for Allah, His Prophet and the believers only. The pledging of Wala' to others has severe Islamic implications. It goes against the orders of Allah, and the essence of our religion. It can lead to the dilution of the potency of Islam, and the downfall of a Muslim's creed.

Living in a Non-Muslim Country

According to the scholars, amongst the indications of Wala' to the disbelievers is living in their lands. The Prophet (s.a.w) has clearly stated: "I am free from whoever resided amongst the Mushriks". This remains true when the person favours the lands of Shirk over the Islamic lands, and when he loves to live in a Shirk unIslamic environment at the presence of an Islamic State.

It leaves no waivers or exceptions for those seeking a materialistically better environment either. As for what we are going through nowadays, the Muslims are persecuted in many of the so-called Muslim countries, so they are not classified under this rule, so long they make effort and advice for their religion, their families, their children and themselves . The Muslim, however, remains obligated to search for the country that is of lesser mischief and is better for his religion, not the worldly matters.

Imitating Non-Muslims

Whilst living in a non-Muslim country, it remains incumbent upon us to maintain our distinct Islamic identity. This includes all facets of our lives, in terms of creed, manners, relations, politics, allegiance and so on. The Prophet (s.a.w), the companions and the Tabi'een used to take great measures to enforce this rule. The Prophet (s.a.w) stated, unambiguously, that "whoever imitates a group/people then he is one of them".

The Prophet manifested this saying in all areas of his life. The jews used to remove their shoes while praying, so he said: "Pray while wearing your footgear, contradict the jews". The Kuffar would shave their beards, so he commanded: "Contradict the Mushriks: let your beards grow and trim your moustaches". Muslims should infact avoid all ceremonies or habits particular to non-Muslims Qadi 'Eyad has stated: "And we aso declare Kafir a person who acts an act which has been unanimously agreed by Muslims to be an act that only Kaffirs perform; even if that person openly claims to be a Muslim. (This includes activities) such as attending churches and synagogues and imitating them with their (religious) clothing... Muslims have unanimously agreed that such actions can not be performed but by a Kafir".

Scholars such as Al-Khurshi and Ibn Nujaim have declared the apostasy of the person who wears things that are only worn by Kafirs, Furthermore, scholars have unanimously stated that celebrating the Eids of the Kuffar and joining them is Haram, and they classified that as being a sort of approval of their fabrications.Narrated Abdullah Bin Amro Bin Al-Aas he said: "Whoever resides in the land of Foreigners (i.e. Kaffirs), and he establishes their Nayrouz (an Eid) and he celebrates their carnivals, and he imitates them until he dies, then he will be resurrected with them on the day of Judgement."

Although it may appear harmless initially, it can, and has, led to the destruction of an innumerable amount of Muslims losing themselves in that Kafir society, in a quest to please the disbelievers, or appease them for "da'wa" purposes, or gain worldly benefits. It results in our loss in the Hereafter, and that of our children. How can we choose such a path, when Allah has warned us: "And incline not to those who do wrong, or the Fire will touch you; and you have no protectors other hen Allah, nor shall you be helped." [s.11, v.113].

We should take heed of Allah's warnings, and the pure guidance of our Prophet (s.a.w), who remarked: "You will follow the tradition of those people who came before you exactly..." [this portion is in the two Sahihs] And he confirmed, when asked whether he meant the Jews and the Christians, by saying "who else?" [Ahmad, Abu Dawood].

Homeless pets have been left to the Mamak dumping ground by the municipalities of Ankara.Some dogs raped by unknown people and killed. Puppies have been put in garbage bags and killed.

Somedogs have been shot and some poisened.Some that could survive were rescued by a animalfriendly people last night.

In Ankara,homeless dogs and cats are killed by the municipality workers occasionally.The animal shelters in Ankara are in very bad conditions.(except Cankaya Animal Shelter)

It is not allowed to bring pet food Macunkoy animal shelters.
Ankara municipalities killed homeless pets. We need your urgent support to protest killing of our animals.

Vicious slaughter in Mamak, Ankara

(Seasononline Ankara) - Hundreds of dead dogs were found in the garbage dump which belongs to the Mamak Municipality. It is claimed that the dogs were killed in masses and then secretly thrown to the garbage dump. General Secretary of DOHAYKO and spokeswoman for HAYTAP (Active Force Union for Animal Rights in Turkey) , Nesrin Citirik, made a statement that the event was a very heavy crime of mankind and she condemned the people responsible for it. It is said that there are dogs which have been raped among the dead dogs. Last week there was another incident of a dog being raped in Corum city and a complaint was filed against the person under suspicion.

Burcu Isıkalp, the ANKARA representative of DOHAYKO (Association for the Protection and Life of Nature and Animals) was informed by the people of Mamak district that dead dogs were found in the area and came to investigate the situation. She said she came across a very upsetting scene.

"These dogs were killed by Mamak and Altindag Municipalities," she declared "there are hundreds of dead dogs in 4 or 5 ditches around Mamak garbage dump. They bring these dogs here and shoot them or kill them with drugs. "

REACTIONS ARE MOUNTING

General Secretary of DOHAYKO and spokeswoman for HAYTAP (Active Force Union for Animal Rights in Turkey) , Nesrin Citirik, made a statement that the event was a very heavy crime of mankind and she condemned the people responsible for it. She said, "Early this morning Mamk Municipality buried the dogs in an effort to get rid of the evidence. Burcu Isıkalp, Fersut Isitman and some members of the press are still at the garbage dump. Just a little while ago they found a boxer dog which had been raped and whose internal organs were ripped apart. "We will get a report regarding the rape .." she delared.

RAPE IN CORUM CITY

Last week a dog was raped in Corum and a complaint was filed for the person under suspicion. Ahmet Kemal Senpolat, Lawyer and Head of the Commision within the Bar of Lawyers of Istanbul for the Protection of Animal Rights made a statement that " the man under suspicion was 64 years old, name H.I. and he has been given to court for raping a dog which he kept tied in the garbage dump. He is accused of raping the dog which he had tied around the neck witha metal wire. As the people will remember, there was an incident of a dog being raped in Corum last year also.

John Heartfield was the ground breaking artist of WW2 who made these superb posters against the stinking Nazis. Once again the same sentiments have meaning today.

Why go hungry when we can eat those who's lives have no value.

Name: Usamah Bin Mohammad Bin Laden
Born in the city of Riyadh 1377 ah, 1957 ac.
Raised in AlMadina AlMunawwara and Hijaz, and received his education in the schools of Jedda, then studied management and economics in King Abdul Aziz University in Jedda.
Married with Children.

His outlook: The way of the people of Sunna and Jama'a in accordance with the understanding of the righteous predecessors, in total and in detail.
From this emerges the necessity for armed struggle preceded by Da'wa and military preparation in order to repel the greater Kufr, and to cooperate with Muslims in order to unite their word under the banner of monotheism, and to set aside divisions and differences.

He began his interaction with the Islamic groups in 1393 ah (1973 ac) and continued with this until the commencement of Jihad in Afghanistan; he also participated, in the beginning of the eighties, with the Mujahideen against the Communist party in South Yemen, participating once again in the nineties until the downfall of the Communist party.

He established alongside Sheikh Dr Abdullah Azzam - May Allah bless his soul - the office for Mujahideen services in Peshawar; he also established along with Sheikh Azzam the Sidda camp for the training of Arab Mujahideen who came for Jihad in Afghanistan. His first visit to assist the Afghan Mujahideen was after the entry of the Russians by a few days in 1399 ah (1979 ac); he established "Ma`sadat AlAnsar" which was a base for Arab Mujahideen in Afghanistan. In 1406 ah (1986 ac) he participated in the battles of Jalalabad with the Arab Mujahideen as he also did in 1409 ah (1989 ac) which was one of the biggest battles which the Arabs engaged in, in Afghanistan.

He migrated from the Arabian peninsula on 16 Shawwal 1411 ah (1991 ac), then he was asked by the Saudi government to return, however he refused, so they withdrew his citizenship, cancelled his passport, froze his assets, and then attacked him through the media by defaming his character both inside and outside Saudi Arabia.

He currently resides in Afghanistan, and has directed a call to the Muslims throughout the world to declare a Jihad against the Judao - Christian alliance which is occupying Islamic sacred land in Palestine and the Arabian Peninsula.

* What is the policy that should be adopted by the Islamic movement towards the scholars who defend -intentionally or unintentio-nally- the likes of the Saud regime?

It is not a concealed fact that the police states in the Arab world rely on some foundations in order to protect themselves.. Amongst these organisations is the security organisation as they spend generously on it, and its foremost mission is to spy on its own people in order to protect the person of the ruler, even if this was at the expense of the rights of the people and their security, as also the military sector, which is prepared to strike the people if they wish to reject the suppression and to remove oppression and establish truth.

The media sector is in the same category as it strives to beatify the persons of the leaders, to drowse the community, and to fulfil the plans of the enemies through keeping the people occupied with the minor matters, and to stir their emotions and desires until corruption becomes widespread amongst the believers.

There is also another organisation which takes priority with the leaders in the Arab world, and is used to take the people astray, and to open the door wide for the security factions to fulfil their aforementioned objectives.. This is the organisation of the scholars of the authorities, as the role of this organisation is the most dangerous of roles in the entirety of the Arabic countries.

History is the best witness to this.

At the same time that some of the leaders are engaging in the major Kufr, which takes them out of the fold of Islam in broad daylight and in front of all the people, you would find a Fatwa from their religious organisation.. In particular, the role of the religious organisation in the country of the two sacred mosques is of the most ominous of roles, this is overlooking whether it fulfilled this role intentionally or unintentionally, the harm which eventuated from their efforts is no different from the role of the most ardent enemies of the nation.

The regime in the land of the two sacred mosques has given a very high priority to this organisation, and has been able to enlarge its position in the estimation of the people until it made of it an idol to be worshipped aside from God amongst some of the common people, and without the will of the members of this organisation.

However, there continues to be in the land of the two sacred mosques - with gratitude to Allah - a good number of honest scholars and students who work according to their teachings, and those who have taken visible and daring stances against the Kufr activities which the regime is working.

The regime has strived to keep these scholars in the shadows and then removed them, one way or another, from being effective elements in the lives of the people in the community. At the forefront of these scholars was the Sheikh Abdullah Bin Hamid - May Allah bless his soul - who was the Mufti in the Arabian peninsula, and who headed the supreme council of judges. However, the regime constrained him and tightened their grip on him until he offered his resignation.. He has many famous writings in response to the unacceptable laws which the government had introduced instead of the Law of Allah, one of these is a treatise dealing with the law of work and workers which deals with many of the introduced laws which contradict the law of Allah (s.w.t.).

At the same time, they promoted some of the scholars who were far below Sheikh Ibn Hamid - may Allah bless his soul - those who have been known to be weak and soft, so they put them forward in a cunning plan which began more than twenty years ago.. During the preceding two decades, the regime enlarged the role of Bin Baz (Grand Mufti) because of what it knows of his weakness and flexibility and the ease of influencing him with the various means which the interior ministry practices through providing him with false information. So, a generation of youth were raised believing that the most pious and knowledgeable of people is Bin Baz as a result of the media promotion through a well studied policy which had been progressed over twenty years.

After this, the government began to strike with the cane of Bin Baz, every corrective programme which the honest scholars put forward, further, it extracted a Fatwa to hand over Palestine to the Jews, and before this, to permit entry into the country of the two sacred mosques to the modern day crusaders under the rule of necessity, then it relied on a letter from him to the minister for internal affairs and placed the honest scholars in the gaols.

The confidence of the people and the youth in Bin Baz was therefore shaken, however the price was very high, whilst the confidence of the people in the working scholars, particularly those in the prisons had been increased.

The policy of the Organisation for Advice and Rectification towards these scholars is the continuation of providing advise to them openly and secretly (as there is no person above the law, and we are not immune) and particularly in the matters where they gave public rulings, and to bring the rulings of the scholars who respond to their rulings, in order to bring awareness to the people as to the correct ruling with respect to these matters, and not to forestall the rectification programme so that the scholars are made aware, as the pressure which is applied against them is very great.

Also the promotion of the honest scholars and their mention with what they deserve in front of the people so that the confidence of the people would greatly shift in support to them.

* How do you evaluate the Saud regime's foreign policy towards the Muslim world in the past years?

The external policy of the Saud regime towards Islamic issues is a policy which is tied to the British outlook from the establishment of Saudi Arabia until 1364 ah (1945 ac), then it became attached to the American outlook after America gained prominence as a major power in the world after the Second World War.

It is well known that the policies of these two countries bear the greatest enmity towards the Islamic world.

To be taken out of this category is the final phase of the rule of King Faisal, as there was a clear interest with the Muslim issues, in particular al Quds and Palestine.

However, the regime does not cease to cry in the open over the matters effecting the Muslims without making any serious effort to serve the interests of the Muslim community apart from small efforts in order to confuse people and throw some dust into their eyes.

* The confrontation between the Islamic movement and the apostate Saud regime recorded a historical turning point following the latest attacks against the American occupiers targets. How did these attacks reflect on the internal front, and how did they affect the Saudi-American relations?

There were important effects to the two explosions in Riyadh on both the internal and external aspects. Most important amongst these is the awareness of the people to the significance of the American occupation of the country of the two sacred mosques, and that the original decrees of the regime are a reflection of the wishes of the American occupiers. So the people became aware that their main problems were caused by the American occupiers and their puppets in the Saudi regime, whether this was from the religious aspect or from other aspects in their everyday lives. The sympathies of the people with the working scholars who had been imprisoned also increased as has their understanding of their advises and guidance which led the people to support the general rectification movement which is led by the scholars and the callers to Islam. This movement - with the bounty of Allah - is increasing in power and in supporters day after day at the expense of the regime. The sympathy with these missions at the civil and military levels were great, as also the sympathies of the Muslim world with the struggle against the Americans.

As for the relationship between the regime and the American occupiers, these operations have embarrassed both sides and have led to the exchange of accusations between them. So we have the Americans stating that the causes of the explosions are the bad policies of the regime and the corruption of members of the ruling family, and the regime is accusing the Americans of exceeding their authority by taking advantage of the regime and forcing it to enter into military and civil contracts which are beyond its means, which led to great economic slide which has effected the people. In addition to this is the behaviour of the Americans with crudeness and arrogance with the Saudi army and their general behaviour with citizens, and the privileges which the Americans enjoy in distinction from the Saudi forces.

These missions also paved the way for the raising of the voices of opposition against the American occupation from within the ruling family and the armed forces; in fact we can say that the remaining Gulf countries have been effected to the same degree, and that the voices of opposition to the American occupation have begun to be heard at the level of the ruling families and the governments of the Cooperative Council of Gulf countries. The differences in outlooks between the Americans and the Gulf states has appeared for the first time since the second Gulf war. This was during the conference of the ministers of external affairs of the countries of the cooperative council of Gulf states which was held in Riyadh to look into the American missile aggression against Iraq. These differences are nothing more than a sign of the strain which has eventuated in the relationship between America and the countries of the region in the footsteps of the Jihad missions against the Americans in Riyadh and as a result of the fear of these regimes that their own lands might witness similar Jihad missions.

* It was observed that the American and Saudi officials tried to link the latest operations to some foreign countries. What is behind these attempts?

A result of the increasing reaction of the people against the American occupation and the great sympathy with the Jihad missions against the Americans is the eagerness of the Americans and the Saudis to propagate false information to disperse these sympathies. This can be witnessed in their statements that some of the countries in the region were behind the Jihad missions inside the country of the two sacred mosques, however the people are aware that this is an internal Islamic movement against the American occupation which is revealing itself in the most clear picture after the killing of the four champions who performed the Riyadh operation, the ones concerning whom, we ask Allah to accept amongst the martyrs.

It has become routine policy for countries upon facing an internal calamity is to lay the responsibility on an external country. Before the puppetry of the Arabic countries to America became plainly obvious, the security sections never hesitated to accuse any rectifying Islamic movement to be a puppet to America and Israel.

* What are the regime's choices with regards to the Muslim uprising, and what are your expectations for the future?

There are several choices for the regime, one of these is reconciliation with all the different sections of the public, by releasing the scholars, and offering essential changes, the most important of these is to bring back Islamic law, and to practise real Shura (consultative government). The regime may resort to this choice after finding itself in the position of a morsel of food for the Americans to take, after the enmity has been stirred with their people. These people today feel that the Americans have exceeded their limits both politically and economically, the regime now knows that the public are aware that their sovereignty is shared. This was particularly evident in the recent period through the American press statements which give justification to the American occupation which only exists to rob the wealth of the people to the benefit of the Americans. This option is dependent on the agreement of the people who hold the solution and have the ability to effect change, at the forefront of these would be the honest scholars.

As for the other option, this is a very difficult and dangerous one for the regime, and this involves an escalation in the confrontation between the Muslim people and the American occupiers and to confront the economic haemorrhage. Its most important goal would be to change the current regime, with the permission of Allah.

* As a part of the furious international campaign against the Jihad movement, you were personally the target of a prejudiced attack, which accused you of financing terrorism and being part of an international terrorist organisation. What do you have to say about that?

After the end of the cold war, America escalated its campaign against the Muslim world in its entirety, aiming to get rid of Islam itself. Its main focus in this was to target the scholars and the reformers who were enlightening the people to the dangers of the Judao - American alliance, and they also targeted the Mujahideen. We also have been hit with some of the traces of this campaign as we were accused of funding terrorism, and being members of an international terrorist organisation. Their aims in making these allegations were to place psychological pressure on the Mujahideen and their supporters so that they would forsake the obligation of Jihad and the resistance of oppression and American Israeli occupation of Islamic sacred lands. However, our gratitude to Allah, their campaign was not successful, as terrorising the American occupiers is a religious and logical obligation. We are grateful to Allah Most Exalted in that He has facilitated Jihad in His cause for us, against the Americo - Israeli attacks on the Islamic sanctities.

As for their accusations of terrorising the innocent, the children, and the women, these are in the category "accusing others with their own affliction in order to fool the masses". The evidence overwhelmingly shows America and Israel killing the weaker men, women, and children in the Muslim world and elsewhere. A few examples of this are seen in the recent Qana massacre in Lebanon, and the death of more than six hundred thousands (600,000) Iraqi children because of the shortage of food and medicine which resulted from the boycotts and sanctions against the Muslim Iraqi people, also their withholding of arms from the Muslims of Bosnian Hercegovina leaving them prey to the Christian Serbians who massacred and raped in a manner not seen in contemporary history. Not to forget the dropping of the H bombs on cities with their entire populations of children, elderly, and women, on purpose, and in a premeditated manner as was the case with Hiroshima and Nakazagki. Then, killing hundreds of thousands of children in Iraq, and whose numbers (of dead) continue to increase as a result of the sanctions. Despite the continuing American occupation of the country of the two sacred mosques, America continues to claim that it is upholding the banner of freedom and humanity, whilst these deeds which they did, you would find that the most ravenous of animals would not descend to.

As for what America accuses us of, of killing the innocent people, they have not been able to offer any evidence, despite the magnitude of their expenditure on their intelligence services. Despite what our history is witnessing in the Afghan phase of the Jihad. This was also unstained with any blood of innocent people, despite the inhuman Russian campaign against our women, our children, and our brothers in Afghanistan... Similar is our history with respect to our differences with the Saudi regime, all that has been proved is our joy at the killing of the American Soldiers in Riyadh and Khobar, and these are the sentiments of every Muslim. Our encouragement and call to Muslims to enter Jihad against the American and the Israeli occupiers are actions which we are engaging in as religious obligations. Allah Most High has commanded us in many verses of the Qur`an to fight in His path and to urge the believers to do so. Of these are His words: "Fight in the path of Allah, you are not charged with the responsibility except for yourself, and urge the believers, lest Allah restrain the might of the rejectors, and Allah is stronger in might and stronger in inflicting punishment." and His words: "And what is it with you that you do not fight in the path of Allah, whilst the weak amongst the men, and the women, and the children who say: our Lord take us out of this town the people of which are oppressive, and make for us from You a protecting friend and make for us from You a succourer", and His words: "So if you meet those who reject, then strike the necks..." We have given an oath to Allah to continue in the struggle as long as we have blood pumping in our veins or a seeing eye, and we beg of Allah to accept and to grant a good ending for us and for all the Muslims.

* Some media sources mentioned that the Afghan government demanded that you leave the country. How true is this?

The Afghan government has not asked us to leave the country... All gratitude to Allah, our relationship with our brother Mujahideen in Afghanistan is a deep and broad relationship where blood and sweat have mixed as have the links over long years of struggle against the Soviets, it is not a passing relationship, nor one based on personal interests.

They are committed to support the religion approved by Allah, and that country remains as the Muslims have known it, a strong fort for Islam, and its people are amongst the most protective of the religion approved by Allah, and the keenest to fulfil His laws and to establish an Islamic state.

That passing phase of infighting has saddened us as it has saddened all the Muslims, however, we wish to indicate that the picture of events as painted by the international press is grossly distorted, and that this infighting is much smaller and less fierce than what Muslims on the outside may imagine, and that most of the country is living a normal peaceful life; apart from some petty crimes here and there as some elements attempt to create corruption under cover of the disputes amongst some of the groups. We our hoping that Afghanistan would regain very soon - God willing - its Islamic position which would befit its history of Jihad.

* What is the responsibility of the Muslim populations towards the international campaign against Islam?

What bears no doubt in this fierce Judao - Christian campaign against the Muslim world, the likes of which has never been seen before, is that the Muslims must prepare all the possible might to repel the enemy on the military, economic, missionary, and all other areas. It is crucial for us to be patient and to cooperate in righteousness and piety and to raise awareness to the fact that the highest priority, after faith is to repel the incursive enemy which corrupts the religion and the world, and nothing deserves a higher priority after faith, as the scholars have declared, for this cause, it is crucial to overlook many of the issues of bickering in order to unite our ranks so that we can repel the greater Kufr.

All must move giving life to the words of the Most High: "Indeed this, your community, is one community, and I am your Lord, so worship me" and that they should not be like those whom Allah has described with His words: "Indeed those who have divided their religion and became schisms, you are not of them in any way." It is essential to volunteer and not to bicker, and the Muslim should not belittle righteousness in any way, the messenger ( peace and blessings upon him) said: "Whoever believes in Allah and the last day must speak good or not speak at all." and they must heed the words of the messenger (peace and blessings upon him) when they move: "Inform and do not repel, and make it easy and do not make it difficult.".. And we ask Allah to give this community the guidance to exalt the people who obey Him and humiliate those who disobey Him, and to give us a rule where decency is commanded and evil is forbidden. O Allah bless Mohammad, Your servant and messenger, and his family, and companions, and give them peace... All gratitude to Allah the Lord of the worlds.

Islamonesia or Australia's old friend Indonesia.

Indonesia has a massive population and dire lack of space. It’s mainly an Islamic population, in fact the largest in the Islamic population in the world and it's right on democratic Australia's doorstep with a bad attitude to my country and my lifestyle.

From this survey on Islamic intolerance in Indonesia by in 2004:

Fifty-nine percent of people polled backed whipping adulterers and 40 percent said thieves should have their hands hacked off. Meanwhile, 39 percent said they support polygamy for men and 40 percent oppose a women becoming president.

Many Indonesian Muslims also expressed intolerant attitudes toward Christians, with 50 percent saying they oppose churches in Muslim-majority areas.

Australians can categorize Indonesian justice via the two Bali Bombings and light sentencing of Islamic murderers of our people contrasted to the trial and heavy sentencing (20 years to death sentences) in Bali of Aussies for drugs. Australians, regardless of their view on drugs, are able to clearly see the prejudice.

Australians have also noted the disastrous outcomes for Europe with Islam. Thankfully for Australia seeing Europe twenty years or so ahead of us in politically correct styled multicultural social practice, and with Turkey the gateway to the also massive Islamic Middle East, on its border, we luckily learned the lesson of Islam and it’s non secular sharia. We acknowledge the similar demographic circumstances shared between Australia and Europe with their Islamic neighbours.

So as Australia deals with its immigration policies and explains to its Islamic residents we’re a secular country and non-secular sharia is unwelcome, Australians naturally vote/lobby to protect Australia and its culture from Islam.

We can still do more… Regardless of what Australia does with its legislation, still Indonesia remains beside us and the future awaits us all.

Two articles in the site Indonesia Matters are very worth taking note of. The first is this survey on the positive changing attitude of Indonesia’s Muslims to the USA due to their help after the Tidal wave.

Confidence in Osama Bin Laden? 58%, 23%, 12%

Support American war on terrorism? 23%, 40%, 35%

Favourable opinion of the USA? 15%, 34%, 44%

Unfavourable opinion of the USA? 83%, 54%, 41%

This looks promising, maybe Muslims recognizing decency or at the most cynical responding well to jyza taxes from the West?

When one looks at the origins of the survey, The “Detailed Results” sections 1st question on “attacks against civilians” is answered by Muslim respondents only.The answer is encouraging.Yet in the “Cross Sections” we can see that the Indonesians interviewed were mainly Christian and Buddhist Indonesians, the minority.

So it is possible the general survey reflects their opinions and not so much those of the Islamic Indonesian majority.

On a constructive note this does lead us to a basic number crunch on Indonesia’s religious populations:

In 2004 More than 85 percent of the country's 210 million people are Muslims, while Christians are 8 percent, Hindus 2 percent and Buddhists less than 1 percent.
So say approximately 15% of 210 million (30 million plus) Indonesians are Islam free and obviously struggling to maintain their Indonesian values in the face of Islam.

Indonesia Matters has this second valuable piece is a timely and vital reminder of the effects of Islam in our neighboring Indonesia: Arab Cultural Imperialism and Indonesian Native Culture

Where are the Indonesian Christian, Buddhist and Hindu Importers of beautiful Indonesian furniture, clothes and art? Where are the Islam free hotels and surfing tours? Many Aussies have had great holidays in Bali it was/is an Aussie tradition. 30 million Indonesians and Australia are an economic force of large value.

As the brave Danes say "we are all Danes now" and as the Islamic boycotts of Denmark prove there is power in our spending.

Ignoring Indonesia will not solve the Islamic menace so close to us here in Australia. Along with strict immigration and border control etc, support of Indonesians struggling against Islam is our obvious duty.

Survey shows significant support for radical Islam in Indonesia. A survey showed Friday that many Indonesians support the implementation of strict Islamic law, with nearly 60 percent saying they want adulterers to be whipped and 40 percent backing cutting off a thief's hand.

The survey, conducted by the U.S.-funded Freedom Institute, also found 16 percent of people polled refused to condemn terror attacks by the al-Qaida linked regional terror group Jemaah Islamiyah if they were committed to fight Muslim oppression. Still, 59 percent condemned the attacks, while 25 percent said they had no opinion.

The findings will likely rekindle concerns that radical Islam is gaining a foothold in the world's most populous Muslim nation, which has long embraced a moderate form of the religion. "It is a worrying phenomenon," said Ulil Abdala, the institute's head. "There is a strong indication that radical Islam is gaining ground. It's definitely something that moderate Indonesian Muslims must take note."

He added many uneducated Indonesians may not have access to information about the terror attacks that have hit the country in recent years or their only sources of information are militant Islamic groups.

Since 2002, Indonesia has suffered three major bombings blamed on Jemaah Islamiyah that have killed 224 people. The survey, which was carried out for the first time earlier this month, showed many Indonesians support the establishment of laws based on the Muslim holy book Quran. Fifty-nine percent of people polled backed whipping adulterers and 40 percent said thieves should have their hands hacked off. Meanwhile, 39 percent said they support polygamy for men and 40 percent oppose a women becoming president.

Many Indonesian Muslims also expressed intolerant attitudes toward Christians, with 50 percent saying they oppose churches in Muslim-majority areas, the survey said. A Catholic school near Jakarta was closed for three weeks in October when a Muslim group built the two-meter-high (seven-foot-high) wall in front of its gates. The group accused the school of aggressive proselytizing.

However, 82 percent of Indonesians oppose a hardline militant group, the Islamic Defenders Front, which is notorious for raiding Western cafes and bars during the holy month of Ramadan.

The Freedom Institute surveyed 1,200 people in all 32 provinces, and the poll had a margin of error of 3 percent.

Humanitarian Relief Sustains Change in Muslim Public Opinion(2006)

A new poll by Terror Free Tomorrow demonstrates that one year after the tsunami in Indonesia , the dramatic increase in Indonesian support for the United States and against Bin Laden has continued.

American humanitarian aid to tsunami victims last year caused an overwhelming change of opinion in Indonesia , the world’s largest Muslim country. The new nationwide poll throughout Indonesia reveals that this dramatic shift has not only been sustained, but has strengthened.

The fact that more than a year after American help, Indonesians continue to appreciate America’s role is stunning proof of the sustained power of positive and substantial assistance to radically change Muslim public opinion. Despite widespread stories on Koran desecration, Guantanamo , even the Danish cartoons, favorable opinion toward the United States in Indonesia has actually increased from 34 percent a year ago to 44 percent at the end of January 2006, while unfavorable views declined from 54 percent to 41 percent.

The overwhelming reason for these changes continues to be American humanitarian relief. The increased favorable view of the United States occurred in tandem with similar declines in support for Bin Laden and terrorism.

Key Findings of the Poll:
For the first time in almost four years, more Indonesians are favorable to the United States than unfavorable, while support for Bin Laden and terrorism has dropped to its lowest level since 9/11.

63% of Indonesians continue to have a more favorable opinion of the United States because of the American response to the tsunami more than a year later.

Favorable opinion among Indonesians to the United States has nearly tripled from 15% in May 2003 to 34% in January 2005 and more than 44% now, while the percentage of Indonesians with very unfavorable views declined from 48% in May 2003 to 21% last January and just 13% today.

United States fared better in Indonesian public opinion than other Western countries, other Islamic countries and local Islamist groups.

Only a mere 2% of Indonesians surveyed now believe suicide terrorist attacks are ever justified, down from 27% after 9/11, and 9% last year.
Support for Osama Bin Laden has declined significantly (58% favorable in May 2003 to 23% a year ago and just 12% now).

Critical Implications:
American humanitarian assistance can make a significant and long-term difference in building goodwill toward the United States and eroding popular support for global terrorists. The United States must sustain its relief and reconstruction efforts in in order to prevent popular support for Islamist radicalism from rebounding. Indeed, a majority of Indonesians want continued American assistance.

The poll follows similar findings from previous Terror Free Tomorrow public opinion surveys in Indonesia, Pakistan and the Palestinian Territories. 78% of Pakistanis had a more favorable opinion of the United States because of American earthquake relief.

Similarly, a strong majority of Palestinians want the United States to become more involved in resolving the Palestinian/Israeli conflict.

These public opinion surveys, in three distinct regions of the Muslim world, demonstrate for the first time that American policies based on humanitarian interventions result in sustained, substantial, and favorable changes in Muslim opinion.

Sounds like the answer to Keysar’s question is jihad on Australia.

You might think a concerned Muslim moderate we see a few times a week on our News broadcasts here in Australia.

Here from some soft pro sharia propaganda in the Sydney Morning Herald(by Deborah Cameron in 2002), we can still plainly see that he is no asset to Australia.

Keysar, and quiet a few other in-laws, arrived in Sydney via some handy polygamy loopholes at 13 years old.

Keysar worked at the Tax Office but quit in 1998 for his religious needs and a trip to Lebanon. He came home to “write”. Here is a sample of the religious writing from those years

Mr. Trad has 2 wives and 9 children here in Australia…He talks to the SMH about installing a deep moral code into his 9 children. In 2002 at the year of this interveiw Keysar was at a forum at Western Sydney Uni promoting some islamic moral codes on homosexuality

Islam's man of a million comments

Recent events have focused attention on Muslims in a way never before considered. Deborah Cameron profiles one of the Sydney community's leading lights.

Pink pickled turnip and little sprigs of mint tumble out of the pita bread as Keysar Trad hits the kerb in his big old Pajero.

He is taking a short cut between his favourite falafel shop and a cafe where the walls are lined with jars of honey and bottles of rosewater.

The wheel thumps hard. The four-year-old in front lets out a squawk. His wife, Hanifeh, sitting in the back with the two-year-old, tut-tuts at him driving, eating, talking and winding down the windows, more or less at the same time.

Pulling up at the Farouk and Chehade El Bahsa Sweets shop in South Bankstown, everyone is ready for the ice-cream which comes in about 10 colours. It is practically an insult to order one scoop of pistachio. "You must taste every colour," insists Trad, handing over a deep silver bowl and spoon.

Outside it is warm. Hanifeh, covered from head to toe in a long dark-coloured dress and headscarf, looks cooler than she probably feels. For a woman of 38 with nine children, no money to spare and a husband devoted to voluntary community work, her face is free of worry. She is even at ease with what she calls "Keysar's pet topic": a second wife.

Trad is director of the Lebanese Muslim Association and, because the times have demanded it, an increasingly well-known community spokesman. He is a refugee advocate and translator, an essayist, a spokesman on political issues, a critic of racial labelling by police, a close adviser to the Mufti Sheik Taj el-Din Al Hilaly and a calm interpreter of Islam to the nervous broader community.

He gets frustrated with the association and has quit at least twice this year but returned out of a sense of duty and an instinct that it would revert to a "no comment" approach to the media which would be wrong at a time like this. Within his community he is criticised for publicly discussing refugees, Lebanese gang rapes and Islamic attitudes.

"They say when a Muslim speaks it is an admission that Islam has a problem," Trad says. "They say you don't see them filming churches when a Christian commits a rape or a murder, so why are you letting them come to interview you at the mosque? They don't realise that the media comes anyway. They tell me - just say "no comment" - but I have a million comments. They cannot censor me. I answer the questions sensibly and we have got nothing to hide."

TRAD and Hanifeh have been through a lot. They met in Lebanon when they were both about 22. They married after three weeks and she came to live with her new husband and mother-in-law in Yagoona. Trad worked at the Australian Tax Office while Hanifeh took English classes. "I find it hard to believe these mothers who cannot understand their children's language or who are dependent on their children for translation," she says.

Hanifeh, a law student in Lebanon, worked as an editor and journalist on Arabic publications in Sydney and studied computer science after emigrating. But when her fourth child was born, family took over.

It has not been easy and they remember 1998 as their worst year when Trad fell in love - "became obsessed", his wife says - with another woman. In desperation, Hanifeh proposed marriage on her husband's behalf to the other woman. "We were having a terrible time. He fell in love and I wasn't thinking about myself," she says. But his obsession passed. "He became more compassionate after it," Hanifeh says. "God meant for him to go through this experience and it made him a better person and more emotionally aware. It knocked him off his perch."

Hanifeh was not heartbroken. A second wife would have meant divorce (though he was against it) or living under the same roof as her husband's mistress. As long as the arrangement was fair and had the consent of all involved, it would be acceptable. Hanifeh loves her husband and the children, but says she is not strong enough, physically or emotionally, for more babies.

Aware that Australian law prohibits polygamy, they know a second wife could never be official. But their religion allows a man four wives and though a lot of what they say to each other about polygamy amounts to teasing, there is also a serious thread. It was Hanifeh who first raised it, approvingly, before they married.

Trad and Hanifeh say Islam is central to their values and the most important thing they can impart to their children. A strong set of beliefs is needed to resist society's temptations. Both were raised in large devout families - Trad the eldest son of his father's third wife, and Hanifeh a middle daughter in a family of 12 - and they have accepted the same model for themselves.

Trad arrived in Australia at 13 as part of a family reunion complicated by polygamy. His half-brother who had settled in Sydney got permission to bring his mother and siblings from Lebanon. Because his mother was married, she was able to bring her husband. At the time her husband was married to two other women. One of them (Trad's mother) came along, too, with her children. The older wife divorced her husband in Australia and the patriarch lived with Trad's mother.

To Trad's regret his father, in his 60s then, did not adjust. He could not find full-time work in Sydney. "Isn't it a shame for a grown man not to have a job," he would say, even as he neared death at 80. His father eventually returned to Lebanon which left Trad - as a teenager - responsible for his mother and the younger children.

After ice-cream, the family returns to the house Trad calls "the untidiest in street". In the lounge, three couches are pushed back against walls in need of painting. Bits of jute poke out of the plaster rubbed raw by chairs. A coffee table is laid with almonds, preserved green plums, sweet biscuits, glasses of cold delicious Lebanese cordial tasting like liquified quinces, and the baby capsule bearing the youngest child cooing and kicking his legs.

Trad is opening mail and wonders whether a letter from the council might be to direct him to mow the grass. Instead, it concerns the baby's immunisations. "Give this to your mum," he tells the four-year-old who has walked into the room prattling about The Simpsons and clutching a pencil case, two colouring books and an oven mitt.

In the same post is a statement from the Public Service superannuation fund. He reads out the balance which is tiny. "Money means nothing to me," he says. The family qualifies for low-income support. Trad is prepared for more years of financial hardship.

For the children, it means few toys and a scant wardrobe. "I can see when my son needs new pants but he doesn't talk about it," Hanifeh says. "The kids don't ask for too much." Hanifeh reads the employment section on his behalf, but one of the children put it well: "Dad doesn't need a job; he needs a miracle to make him rich."

The mayhem that comes with nine children in a modest house does not faze them. Even on a school day with six of the kids at local public high and primary schools, the three youngest are a distraction. Conversation occurs against a background of slamming doors, kids yelling and toys being dropped, with neither parent worried. They wipe runny noses and finish complicated anecdotes.

"Imagine if our children grow up with good values like we are trying to give them,"says Trad, "Imagine what great people they'll be for society. I have to make sure that they are positive, contributing members. I will be happy if their sense of social justice is very strong."

Trad's faith has had its phases. It was least strong in Lebanon when he lived among non-practising Muslims who rarely prayed at mosques and did not have access to religious texts. Arriving in Australia he was advised by his half-brother to keep quiet about religion, to be careful around women and to change his name. His half-brother went by the surname Wilson.

For the first few years Trad did not talk about his religion. "People could see that my mother covered her hair; they knew that I was Muslim but I couldn't talk about it because I didn't know where to begin," Trad says.

He was gradually drawn in, especially after a 1987 pilgrimage to Mecca with his mother that he regards as his spiritual turning point. After that he prayed five times a day on schedule, even at the office.

"I was adamant that if someone could take a five-minute break for a ciggie, I could sit at my workstation and pray for five minutes," Trad said. "I was on good terms with my boss and she said it was OK. Initially people made jokes about me headbutting my head against the carpet or by flicking rubber bands while I was praying. But they were my close friends so it didn't matter. It was nothing."

Trad resigned from the ATO at the end of 1998, the year of his infatuation. It was a decision with some familiar elements for anyone who has had a mid-life crisis or considered a sea change. Subject: Response to Supposed Quranic Acceptance of Gays

After the first three pages, the document uses specific terms to describe genitalia and sexual acts, if you find such material offensive or upseting, then please do not read it. Irrespective of what you decide, please advise.

The article is below:

The author of your article pretends to be giving an educated Islamic view and claims repeatedly (without any foundation) in the article that the Islamic teachings were developed from the biblical stories. He wrongly states that the Qur`anic reports are second hand accounts of the aforementioned stories, this shows a very poor understanding of Islam.

The verse he quotes early in the article is slightly misinterpreted, it does not say " In preference to women you satisfy your lust with men", it actually says: "You come unto men with lust to the exclusion of women"

This is important as the author of your article makes the claim on page two that the reference to the lecherous act is ambiguous, it is not, the context and the grammatical flow of the verses is clear.

Refer also to Sura 26: verses 165 - 166:

"You are approaching men and leaving what your Lord has created for you of wives, you are in fact people transgressing."

The author's other claim that the people of Lut made no answer is wrong, the Qur`an said "the only answer that his people made was: "evict (or eject) them from your town, they are people who purify themselves."

The author is clearly twisting the meaning of the Qur`anic verses. Firstly, there is no reason for Lut's wife not to be referred to as an 'Ajuz, a term commonly translated as an old or aged person. When the two angels came, the people of Lut wanted to do with them the very thing mentioned in the above verse, when Lut advised them to take his daughters, the Qur`an whilst
it does not explicitly say what to do with the daughters, Lut being a prophet of God could only be telling them to marry these daughters. This is not just a reference to his own biological daughters, but, as some scholars say, it is in fact a reference to all the girls in the town, that is, they should look to gratify their desires with members of the opposite sex and leave these disguised angels alone.

It is true that the people of prophet Lut were guilty of other crimes also, the Qur`an has a fair bit more to say about their story. However, the author fails to realise that the Hadith is clear about the punishment for homosexuality, the Hadith says: kill the one who is penetrating and the one who is being penetrated. Both are guilty of capital crimes. Two of the rightly guided Caliphs used to burn the homosexuals who are caught in the act to death, the Sahaby Ibn Abbas ruled that they should be pushed from the highest building or mountain (whichever is higher) and then stoned to death. At the very least, they would be stoned to death.

Refer to the following hadith in this regard:

"Whomsoever you find doing the deed of the people of Lut, kill the doer and the one to whom it is being done." Narrated by Abu Dawood, Tirmizy, Nasa`i, and Ibn Majah on the authority of 'Ikrima from Ibn Abbas.

Shafi, Qasem Ibn Ibrahim, and Annaser ruled that the punishment is death even if the persons involved are unmarried.

Abi Bakr, the first Khalifa burned homosexuals during his Khilafa, as did Ali, Abdullah Bin Azzubair and Hisham Bin Abdul Malek. Umar and Uthman ruled that the perpetrators must be stoned to death, Ibn Abbas said that the perpetrators must be pushed from the highest structure in the land. (refer Fiqhusunna volume 2 page 387)

The second major problem with the article is that we are not interested in what the bible says about Sodom and Gammorah, the Qur`an clearly states that the bible has been corrupted.

Refer to the Qur`an Sura 4; verse 46, "Of those who are Jews are they who change the words (of revelation) from what they were", also Sura 5; verse13 referring to the Israelites from verse 12 states: "... they change the words (of revelation) from what they were..." and verse 41 of the same Sura": "... they change the words (of revelation) from what they were...".

To say the following about the prophet Muhammad peace and blessings upon him renders the entire argument in your article as false because the authors of your article are basing it all, in its entirety on a false premise.

The fact of the matter is quite different, the Qur`an is not second hand, it is a direct revelation from Allah, the One Who was observing and the One Who issued the decree relating to the destruction of Sodom and Gammorah.

The Qur`an states at Sura 5; verse 48: "We revealed to you the book in truth, verifying what is before it of the book and overriding it ...".

So, whilst there may be sections in the bible which are useful, the corruption makes the entire book inadmissible as evidence. The Qur`an overrides and supercedes the bible.

The Hadith is clear about this issue, apart from the Hadith that states that both parties must be killed, it also states that a Muslim man is not even permitted to sodomise a woman, for sodomy is sinful.

Another important aspect that the authors of your article have ignored is that in Islam, sex is only permissible within the bounds of marriage, refer the verse about chastity Sura 23; verse 7, sex is only permitted with one's spouse or in the case of a man, his spouse or what his right hand possesses of female concubines, anything beyond that is referred to as transgression.

Allah also says:

"... Today I have perfected for you your religion and completed my blessing over you and given you Islam as your religion ...". Sura 5; verse 3.

To be perfected and completed means that we have been given guidance for every aspect of our lives. The prophet peace and blessings upon him never conducted a gay wedding ceremony, in fact he said, kill the doer and the one to whom it is being done. So, if sex in Islam can only take place within marriage and homosexuals can never be married, this means that Islam bans acts of male to male sodomy.

As these people cannot be married, how do they propose to have sex? Such sex can only take place without marriage, any extra marital sex is subject to the punishment of 100 stripes for each offence for a single person or stoning to death for a married person.

However, the Ahadith narrated above are clear, both the doer and the person to whom it is being done must be killed, the only difference in opinion is with respect to the manner of killing, whether this should be by burning, or by pushing from a height and then stoning to death.

The author, as if to have a dig at Islam, refers to multiple partners on a number of occasions. He is trying to imply that a possible reason for the destruction of Sodom and Gammorah may have been because they had multiple partners. We have already explained that the main sin that the Qur`an states that earned this punishment for Sodom and Gammorah was their
homosexuality. The author knows that Islam permits managed and controlled polygyny, in fact, polygyny is a wholesome progression for society as it guarantees adequate matrimonial security and gratification, spiritually, emotionally and physically for all the women in society, whereas homosexuality is mere depraved carnal pursuit with no care for anything other than the perverted "homosexual's" own obstinacy and illicit abnormal gratification.

The authors also tried to blame the matter on genes and hormones. Yet they could only be referring to psychological factors, genes and hormones have not turned an anus into a vagina and never will. Some American studies have found that Americans who consume large quantities of meat that has been fed with chemicals and hormones and other fattening substances are likely to have higher incidences of homosexuality. However, let us examine it from a purely intellectual aspect.

If we deal with the issue through logic -

Homosexuality is not logical

You are the med. student, tell me, is the anus an inlet or an outlet? Is it designed to take-in or to excrete? In fact any large object that is inserted without artificial or external lubrication will cause damage to the outer ring or anus and to the rectal cavity, there will be tearing and bleeding, irrespective how aroused the recipient male or female happens to be at the time. Further the repeated action of shoving and withdrawing will create much more dry friction and lead to much tissue damage. However, when it comes to natural intercourse, in all cases, unless the woman has a condition, the woman with little foreplay will produce enough lubricants to ensure the normal sexual penetration will not cause any tissue damage (with the exception of breaking the hymen in the case of a virgin or a woman whose hymen was surgically restored).

The reality is, in most cases, they do use some form of lubricant, this in itself is an admission that the act is unnatural.

So, from the onset, we know that the insertion of a foreign body into the anus without lubrication will cause tissue damage and is most likely to result in bleeding and infection. As a med. Student, you would also know the chemical properties of human semen which tends to be somewhat abrasive from a laymen's (excuse the pun, it is completely unintended) perspective. You would also be able to describe better than me the effect of smearing an abrasive substance over cuts and abrasions. You may perhaps also observe the effect of the little sperms on cuts and abrasions, I leave that for your own laboratory observations. You are also in a better position to comment on the effect of applying compressed faeces on cuts and abrasions.

Hence, we have the AIDS council encouraging the use of condoms. You may find that gays, even in monogomous relationships, and these are not the norm, will have to frequently use condoms when they choose to engage in their perverse sodomy, otherwise the risk is as you know painfully deadly.

This risk is not present with normal vaginal intercourse that takes place between a male husband and a female wife.

I have so far only dealt with the damage that is done to the sodomised person.

Let us examine the perpetrator of the perverse penetration. What will happen to the male penis when it is repeatedly rubbed into a tight hole that is not lubricated? You know that the penis will also have tissue damage and several layers of skin will be gone. As a male, you know that the skin on the most sensitive part has a particular sensitivity to touch. Tissue damage will occur to the penis unless sufficient lubrication is applied.

What I was trying to prove above is that a person has to resort to external or unnatural means to minimise tissue damage in the case of sodomy. What I hoped in doing this is to prove that the penis is not created or designed to be inserted into an anus and similarly, an anus is not meant to receive a penis.

The second important issue that relates to sex is the gratification or climax that the act itself is meant to give to the two parties.

We know that the penis is a sexual organ that is subject to arousal and that rubbing against this organ will lead to a climax or ejaculation. However, neither the anus nor the rectum can be described as sexual organs, they both lack the necessities that you find inside a woman's vulva which create the excitement or enjoyment.

Having said this, some men have been known to also ejaculate when penetrated. This ejaculation is of two types. Either psychological or physical, but in both cases, it is not natural and is not the same as a climax by the person doing the penetration or in the case of a woman who is engaging in sexual intercourse.

Homosexuality is psychological not physical!

As you would know from your studies, the insertion of a penile sized object into the rectum will lead to pressure on a number of glands, particularly the prostrate gland, leading to a squeezing out of the seminal fluids rather than a proper ejaculation. This has been observed in cases of torture through the insertion of foreign objects into a subject's rectum.

The cases where it is psychological should be self explanatory. However, a brief explanation at this point may ensure that any potential ambiguity is minimised. Where a person convinces himself that a particular act is gratifying, or a particular behaviour is desirable, then anything in that field short of that act will be felt lacking. For example, if we take the case of a man who desires to engage in sexual intercourse with a woman, we find that this man will be ungratified or unfulfilled and the desire will remain there until it materialises. Masturbation will not remove the desire, neither will oral sex, they will only increase it. In this case, the desire is not just mental, it is also physical because of the nature of the vagina and the nature of the reaction of the woman in intercourse. It will not be sufficient to go through the seminal discharge to remove the desire despite the fact that the desire may have been instigated by a physical drive. However, as the drive was unfulfilled and the desire for the woman came, the gratification will only be achieved when this intercourse takes place. The situation with a homosexual is somewhat different, I purposely used the example of a heterosexual to illustrate a point in relation to the effect of mutual gratification. However, in the case of a "homosexual", if he convinces himself that he is a strict homosexual, then true gratification through normal ejaculation that results in sexual intercourse with a woman will not soothe his mental condition. The only thing that will remove the mental confusion for this person would be for him to realise that what he wants is wrong. Natural sex will remove the drive, however, it will not pacify his mind unless he acknowledges that his desire for perversion is unacceptable.

On the physical side, it suffices to say that the anus is not equipped with the necessary qualities to make it a sexual organ. It is only its proximity to the organs of reproduction that allows its inclusion in the erogenous zone. Any arousal caused by touching the anus usually results from a feeling of adventure and anticipation with fear, again, this is psychological and should not be allowed to regress into sodomy. In both cases, that is, in both heterosexual sex and homosexual sex, the mouth is also used, therefore, the arousal in the case of the person using the mouth is only psychological as it creates an expectation of penetration of the vagina, the only sexual satisfaction comes to the penis that is being treated orally and not to the mouth. So, through its use, the mouth is transformed into a sexual organ, however, the mouth is not a sexual organ per se.

The hand is also used in like manner at times, but, it also is not a sexual organ, that is, it is not an organ that brings sexual satisfaction to one of the parties by itself, unless it be a person masturbating with his or her own hand.

Homosexual relationships

How do homosexual relationships develop? Generally, the recipient may be convinced or forced at a young age, when he is weak and impressionable. He may end up sodomising others later in life, he may end up offering himself for sodomy or he may have difficulty with sex altogether. However, this is an extension of the first act of perversion. A person may also be influenced into homosexuality by a trusted friend, however, this also does not make the act natural. There are those who now, with the popularisation of homosexuality as an alternative lifestyle, will experiment with it because of troubles they had in their heterosexual relationships. The may feel that the trouble or incompatibility of their partner in those relationships is attributable to their own sexuality. This is also a strange claim, because people admit incompatibility on other issues and may break friendships for this incompatibility, however, they will also develop other friendships. Problem relationships in nature are not a statement of the sexuality of the individuals and should not be treated in this manner.

I find it preposterous to suggest that a male who has not been corrupted at a young age, would go around saying that he can only obtain sexual gratification by being sodomised. Males who are being sodomised can only obtain sexual gratification through additional acts that involve a caressing of their penis.

Homosexuality, like other crimes starts with a whim, crimes of theft are punishable because the damage is easily discernable, the same applies for other crimes of violence. Crimes like homosexuality and promiscuity are not as easily discernable for the irreligious because they do not see the real effects of these crimes on society and generally their effects are not in sufficient proximity to the crime itself. Whilst the argument that a society of homosexuals will not procreate may be one end of the spectrum, the real argument is that sex as a drive is only present to encourage procreation, the pleasures that are associated with it are similar though are different in sensation to the pleasures associated with eating or drinking.

Whilst gratification is an acknowledged effect of the uses of the sexual organs, it is not the reason that these organs are in place. These types of organs exist, not just in humans, but in animals and in vegetation in order to preserve the species. Using these organs in acts of sodomy or same sex relationships is a misuse or an abuse of these organs and only leads to an increase in social evils.

Homosexuality and animals

If sheep were to claim that they are homosexual, human society would not allow them to do so, because this would lead to the sheep not breeding. True that food animals are in general produced through artificial insemination, however, if this was not the case, society will not permit animals to be homosexuals because they see the dangers to their material interests. Yet male dogs will engage in homosexual acts, but bring a bitch on heat and they will leave each other and compete for her pleasure. The same with bulls, put a group of young bulls in a pen together and they will try and mount their nearest bovine friend, however, when cows are present, his preference will always change to the natural practice. Their practice of same sex perversion is only done to gain relief from seminal build up and to gain some gratification. Yet the human being is supposed to be more civilised than that.

We have seen that in the case of animals being artificially inseminated, certain types of animals are exposed to certain scents before the insemination in order to increase the chance of conception. In all cases, the scent that is used is one that is obtained from the male of the species or resembles in chemical composition the same scent that is produced by the male of the species. Comparing with human same sex relationships, there is no existence of a scent of the opposite sex, this scent is normally produced when the partners are aroused. Therefore, the natural fulfillment will never be achieved, the perverted acts will never completely fulfil the sexual drive.

Sex is meant to be a private activity

Sex amongst humans is by its nature meant to be a private affair, yet homosexuals tend to promote their perversion and even in free licentious Western society they want to force us to believe that they are incapable of heterosexual sex because of a hormone imbalance or a perverted predisposition. The natural extension of this argument is that all crime results from a sort of hormone imbalance, so why prosecute other crimes and acquiesce to this ugliest form of perversion. The perpetrator of sodomy cannot say that he can only be gratified by men, for a female anus is little different to a male anus. What this man is saying is that he must degrade and humiliate another man by emasculating him and using him in a manner that does not fit with his gender, simultaneously, this man is saying that women are not fit for their main biological purpose (though not their only purpose in life, for their role in life is not only a sexual one), what is more, he is also trying to say that the other man submits to this treatment willingly. They extend their argument to try to convince us that those sodomised men who have committed suicide as a result of their inability to cope with the humiliation only did so because of society's expectations.

Sex needs for a willing partner

Whether the person claims to be homosexual or not, sex can legally only be performed with a willing partner, unlike food, a person will not die without sex, deprivation may lead to deviation, but it will not lead to death. So, without a willing partner, a person who claims to be homosexual may be unable to have sex at all at any stage of his life, even if he lives to be a hundred. Therefore, this person who claims to be homosexual, and abides by the law and lives his life without sex in reality, has no need to express any of this deviant "sexuality". The mere fact that a man has not come in contact with a woman who is sufficiently attractive to him does not make him a blatant homosexual. Similarly, the fact that the man may have feelings for another man does not mean that this man must extend these feelings into acts of sodomy. Loving a fellow male does not necessitate that one party must make himself available for penetration, neither does it necessitate for the other
party to penetrate the first.

Perversion becomes like any addiction

It is curious how addictions are acknowledged with respect to drugs and other addictive substances and not when it comes to issues like perversion. When a person is introduced to drugs and this person continues to take these until an addiction is developed, this addiction is treated as it is recognised that drugs are harmful. It is not argued that the person takes drugs or becomes addicted to these because of a hormone imbalance or a natural predisposition to drugs. The same applies to perversion, when a person engages in deviant acts, he becomes addicted to perversion, we see several phenomena amongst
homosexuals. There are those who promote change in their physiology by undergoing hormone treatment so that their entire body begins to take the shape and form of the sexual role which they choose to adopt. The other type just rebels against nature and continues to engage in their activities without hormone treatment.

Homosexuality, hormone treatment and sex change

Those who undertake hormone treatment may go further and at one stage or another in their lives undergo a sex change operation. In this regard, I wish to extend the argument, the partner of the person on hormone treatment is a person who claims to be naturally predisposed to homosexuality, yet when the partner takes hormone treatment and the body starts to take on the same qualities as those of the opposite sex, the relationship is not threatened. In fact, the phenomenon that we observe in such relationships is that when a person is treated sexually as belonging to a particular sex, and the person accepts this role, the hormone treatment is taken to add to the mental process, so first they are convinced and then they make the change. If the operation takes place and the person does change sex, the partner of this person finds himself or herself forced to engage in sexual conduct with a person who is physically of the opposite sex. So you will have a case where a homosexual relationship changes into a heterosexual relationship without changing the individuals, and lesbians or sodomites change into heterosexuals. They still achieve gratification, the difference is that one of them could not cope with acting out a role that is different to their sex so they changed their sex surgically, so the other person, the one who does not change sex ends up engaging in sexual conduct with the opposite sex even though prior to the operation, this person claimed that he or she was not aroused by the opposite sex.

As for those homosexuals who do not take hormone treatment and do not change their sex, their situation is one where they either have not come to terms as to which role they wish to play, so they lead a life of confusion or obstinacy or they may be bisexual. It is rare for those who claim to be strictly homosexuals to switch between roles, this is distinct from people who engage in bisexual conduct. In both cases it is perversion, and the point that I wish to make is that the conduct of these people just becomes more and more perversely demanding. The constant chaffing that occurs with male homosexuals leads to reduced sensitivity of the organs and increased difficulty to find gratification, those who switch roles only do so because they reach a stage where penetrating others no longer provides any sense of gratification, they have to create a changed scenario, they will have to make another quirk in their perversion, otherwise, arousal becomes very difficult and a
gratifying climax becomes a virtual impossibility. Therefore in their increasing need for perversion, they may switch into recipients and remain in that role, not for a personal climax, but for mental satisfaction as gratification through satisfactory ejaculation is no longer achievable. So as recipients, they may end up ejaculating through the pressure that the intruding penis places on their prostate and other glands.

Whether they change their sex or not, those who play the part of the female in a homosexual relationship will generally go through much work to maintain an attractive (feminine) appearance. They may workout regularly in order to keep an attractive shape, they may shave not only their legs, but also wax their entire bodies. They may even feel that they need to regularly apply massage oils to reduce the natural defences of the particular orifice. In any event, it is a real chore in order to comfortably fit into an unnatural role. To add to the attraction, these people tend to walk like females, they keep their faces shaved and they will tend to wear feminine perfumes. Undergoing all these deceptive changes to their bodies, in some cases, their appearance may not be distinguishable from that of a woman without close inspection. This deception in itself may fool some other members of the community. In some cases, without the moral reservations, a male who discovers that the woman he has been staring at is actually a man may in some circumstances question his own sexuality or inclination. We have seen cases where a man who is not homosexual pursue a same sex attraction, this usually, like the case of young bulls in a pen, takes place in prisons and usually the victim is sodomised by force. However, this can also happen outside of prisons and there are cases where this attraction leads to murder as in the recent case of a man who murdered a five year old girl in order to keep her quite whilst he tried to find her pre-teen brother in the house so that he can rape him.

Lesbianism is little different to shared masturbation

The case of lesbians is slightly different, without facial hair, the vaginal discharges which vary in their acidity damage facial tissue in lesbian oral sex. If a woman resorts to artificially penetrating another woman's vagina, then the question becomes one of trying to establish if there is a difference between that penetration and a penal penetration, she claims that she cannot be aroused by a man, yet she needs to be penetrated to increase her gratification, a real dilemma arises with respect to the credibility of her claim in this regard. Any penetration of the vagina or anus of a woman necessitates the posing of such a question. A woman may suggest that she prefers other women because she cannot handle the demands of a man, or she fears being beaten etc. This does not make her a lesbian, it only makes her a person who is seeking sexual gratification through unnatural means because she fears not the sex itself but the man behind it. We know that any slight degree of foreplay can arouse a woman to reach a climax, a woman does not need to be penetrated to have an orgasm. Penetration only adds to the gratification and the excitement, without it, she feels unfulfilled (please excuse the pun), even if penetrated,
a seminal discharge inside her will boost the sensation and heighten the excitement to greater levels of ecstasy. Thus, for a woman, whilst she may climax very easily, true gratification comes with penetration, heightened gratification comes with both penetration and ejaculation. There is no form of stimuli or penetration that a woman may do to another woman that cannot be done by a man to a woman, the difference is that natural organs will be used for their natural functions. Lesbianism is a mental fear and not a natural relationship. It is little different to shared masturbation. In the case where one of the ladies changes sex, then the issues discussed above will apply.

Love and attraction

I would like to take you back to the issue of attraction and to the love that may develop from this attraction. Before we take the case of perverted relationships, let us examine the case of friendship and love amongst heterosexuals. A person living a strict heterosexual life, for whatever reason will still develop strong filial love for people of the same sex, they may hug and kiss each other every time they greet one another, they may just shake hands. They may love each other to an extent that they will make great sacrifices for each other, yet, as strict heterosexuals, even if a homosexual thought was to enter into their minds, they would strive against it and take precautions and force this thought out and away. A bisexual or homosexual may interpret these feelings as latent natural homosexuality that is suppressed by oppressive environmental conditioning or religious or social pressures. Yet, if a homosexual was finding inclinations towards a member of the opposite sex, this is never likely to be interpreted as his true nature coming out, other homosexuals will treat it as their friend succumbing to pressures from family or religion.

It is natural for a person to be attracted to beauty in any of its relevant manifestations. What is beautiful to one person is not necessarily beautiful to another, so the relevant manifestation is subjective to the individuals concerned. Impressions that are left on an individual may lead to feelings of respect, love and admiration or hatred and detestation or envy and grudge. Emotional extremes develop some form of action and do not remain static. The most relevant emotions in our situation are those relating to respect, love and admiration. When these emotions develop in a person who is regularly in close proximity with his object of admiration, the person, if perverted may carry them further into sexual submission to the object of his admiration. If not perverted, these feelings may be developed into loyalty, increased respect and estimation and a filial bond.

Perverted people are predators

Perverted people will prowl for a prey, each perverted person will search for what appeals to him. I do not wish to delve into the issue of those who go out seeking prostitutes of the same or the opposite sex, nor those who go to homosexual night clubs or known homosexual handouts in order to find same sex temporary or permanent partners. I am trying to tackle the issue of when a person actually decides that he wants to be inclined towards homosexual perversion. It is not common that a person goes and experiments with both to see which is more enjoyable, to do so, a male would have to go through three or four different experiments to determine which role best suits him. To follow this line, a person will have to say to himself: "I have not determined my inclinations in either direction yet, so, today, I am going to find a really attractive woman, have natural and unnatural sex with her and see which one I prefer most." Then, on another occasion, all conditions being the same, he says, that on this day, he must go and find a man and have, well, in this case, it would all be unnatural, so, he would either do or be done, and on the third occasion, he would take whatever role he did not try previously. Then he would sit and evaluate all the experiences and determine which is the most gratifying. If still uncertain, he would repeat all the above experiments with different partners.

As I said, although it may happen, this is uncommon. Such a suggest pretends to treat people like mechanical beings and ignores emotions as well as misinterprets these emotions. When emotions and attractions are taken into consideration, depending on morality or conditioning, a person is likely to pursue the first attraction. With society as it is today, there is a strong competition amongst people in general to be attractive or more attractive. It is not abnormal for a person to be attracted to many people. It is only morality and decency that will help safeguard a person from the problems of promiscuity and the pursuance of unnatural relationships.

It is ridiculous to suggest, (or at the least, it would contradict the arguments of a homosexual) conscious experimentation determines sexual inclination. When it comes to homosexuality, the main argument that they are trying to force upon the rest of society is that their perversion is a natural hormonal predisposition. Therefore, if a natural relationship develops with a female, this would be a complete sexual failure and they would not be able to perform in any way shape or form, they would not get an erection, nor would they ejaculate and they feel no arousal whatsoever.

Failing with the opposite sex, this person theoretically finds himself totally aroused when he is near members of the same sex so he wants to engage in sexual conduct with the same sex. He is not aroused with the opposite sex, he is only aroused by the same sex (or so he claims), the next question is, which role does he wish to take? Whether he takes the role of the doer or the done, he will be subjecting himself to the physical dangers that I mentioned early on in this thesis, as such arousal is not meant to be fulfilled, but rather, and is meant to be treated. Extending this unreal theoretical situation, what would happen to this person if he does not realise his perversion? Many people go through life unable to engage in any sexual activity, this did not kill them, some spend so much time absorbed in other pursuits that they do not give any time to their sexuality.

Another situation arises with respect to a person who receives his first suggestive advances from a member of the same sex. Not having been exposed to these issues, the mere suggestion of these activities get the mind thinking. If the person has no reservations about the issue, he may be led to experiment, and if this is his only experience with sex then he may feel that it is natural.

The situation dealt with in the preceding two paragraphs is a wild hypothetical that is very unlikely to happen, unless it be in a case where an adult is molesting a child. When it comes to sex, there are chemicals at play, it is not mere man's body in the presence of a woman's body, there are other factors that provide for an exciting and complete arousal and fulfillment.

Treating perversion

Again, the issue with respect to those who claim to be homosexual, once they begin to engage in their perversion on a regular basis, because it is sinful and evil, it becomes addictive and they will have difficulty to quickly adjust to normal life. Like any other sin or crime, it uses up portions of their time, effort and mental processes, to treat it, one has to find a substitute activity to fill their time, take their effort and engage fruitfully their mental processes. I have used the term sin and evil though I have not really gone into religion since I started dealing with the logical side, as the religious position is clear. The religious treatment of such perversion, in a situation like the world find itself in today, where religious law cannot be applied, is one that begins by an admission of the pervert that what he is engaging in is wrong. After the admission comes a willingness to change and to accept the treatment which would begin with remembering God and His Glory and Power. Then, the person must regularly pray for forgiveness, after this, the time that this person used to invest into these pursuits will need to be filled with other activities that are physically removed from the previous environment. The person will also need to ensure that he will keep away from the perverted environment until he is completely reformed.

Religion puts guidelines and limits and says that these limits belong to God, so they should not be breached, apart from carrying a penalty, such breaches are damaging to society, so it is in the interest of society in its entirety to introduce checks to ensure that these limits are not breached. All the divinely set limits are there for a reason and as a protection against a greater evil. Allah says in the Qur`an that He has prohibited the Fawahish (Sura 7; verse 33), that is, the ugly, shameful, evil and destructive acts. Homosexuality is also described as Fahisha (the singular form of fawahish) (Sura 7; verse 80).

Many whims and desires come through a person's mind every day. Desires increase with exposure to "objects of desire". For example, when one sees a beautiful car, automatically a desire to possess this begins to develop. It is only a review of the facts surrounding this desire, like can I afford it? Will it have a high petrol consumption? Will it fulfil my needs? An intelligent person will weigh the pros and cons and decide. A person who may not be able to afford the object of his desire may go and steal it, thus transgressing a limit that is set by both God and society.

A person may see a beautiful rose in somebody's garden, he may ask the owner if can have it, he may admire from a distance, or he may just take it. If he just takes it, again, he is breaching a limit that is set by both God and society.

A person may see a beautiful item of clothing, he will again weigh the pros and cons relating to affordability and functionality and determine whether it is suitable. If this item of clothing is not in a shop but is worn by another person, it would be preposterous for him to go and demand to have it, for there is a social convention that must be respected.

In all these cases, the desire or the whim were there, however, the person is forced to observe his limit.

Another slightly more difficult case is also possible, a person may desire a certain job, irrespective of the pros and cons, or even if he realises that the job is beyond his abilities, he embarks on this job. It is natural that he will fail because he has gone out to do something that contradicts the conventions. That is, he is trying to do something that is beyond his abilities, so failure is inevitable sooner or later.

A comparison with other crimes whose effects are not immediate After centuries of waste dumping and unnatural deforestation, the "civilised" countries determined that pollution and deforestation are damaging to the environment. They are now attempting to treat their past transgressions against nature, of course with the different lobbies, despite knowing
that pollution and deforestation are damaging, their governments will allow pollution and deforestation to continue if the lobby is strong enough, yet they see the danger and the threat, but they will only respond to the danger when the other lobby is sufficiently strong. The other lobby draws its strength through promoting their views and educating people, they are helped by the fact that they can demonstrate the veracity of their claims. Having made some progress, the environmental lobby was able to bring in some controls to reduce pollution and manage deforestation, not enough controls and not enough management, however, the process is in place. Only God knows how long before the damage that was previously done will begin to reverse?

A similar situation arises with benign diseases. When cancer starts, it is not deadly, it only becomes deadly if it is allowed to continue to spread. If it is not diagnosed as a cancer, it will continue until it devastates the entire body, it may reach a stage where it becomes untreatable.

The situation with homosexuality and perversion is not much different to the above. Environmental crimes were not recognised as crimes until their effects were seen on the oceans, the rivers, the forests and the atmosphere. The effects of homosexuality are being ignored because of the power of the homosexual lobby. Due to the nature of the crime, even the spread of AIDS was not sufficient to deter people from it, neither was it enough to accept that homosexuality is wrong. Instead, they try to find anything else to attribute the AIDS virus to, and they try to find ways to engage in sodomy with a reduced risk of contracting the deadly virus. Whatever they wish to attribute the disease to, they will not advise monogomous, uninfected males to sodomise each other without condoms. Not because they fear promiscuity with other males who may be infected, but because they know that the activity itself will lead to disease. Like those who continued to rape the environment for so long, they will only be stopped when other dangers to society become salient and a sufficiently powerful lobby begins working to combat this crime. Regardless of the power of this lobby, the pro-homosexual lobby cannot be stopped until society stands firm and points to them through logic that we do not accept their arguments. At such a stage, a real process to treat all the malignant cases of same sex perversion and a process of protecting the rest of society from this transgression against nature can begin.

In the field of human personal sexual conduct, we are being told by the homosexual lobby to disregard all the issues mentioned in this thesis. They demand that we ignore the functionality of organs, the purpose of creation, the roles of the different sexes, the psychology of sex, the nature of human relations and the short and long term damage to society and we must without any argument be forced to accept their representations. Their's is not a plausible argument. The presence of excess genes of an opposing sex in a person does not change the function of his or her body. If these genes or hormones were meant to be dominant in reality, why did they not influence the development of the organs into being of the so called dominant sex? As you can see, it is an unacceptable argument to impose on the rest of humanity. It is the argument of a lobby who cannot justify its perversion through logic, so they try to resort to unnatural arguments to impose this argument on the rest of us.

Hi guys!
These pages are very interesting, I am overwhelmed. I'm saying this, because I visited Jordan this summer and met more gay men than I do when I go to a gay bar in the UK. I was suprised to see that gay men actually meet up in a county like Jordan. I don't consider it very strict, but some rules seemed to be quite hash.

Another thing I noticed was: You will not be accepted as gay, but boys and men were holding hands and kissing each other on the mouth..... Well, in my country you would be considered gay if you did that, and nobody would actually bother. Can anyone axplain this????? Also, I met two straight men, who had sex with a goat, because that was (according to them) not as sinful as having sex with a girl before they got married......

I would like to make two points concerning this issue.
1.Our sexual nature is such that it inclines us towards sexual activiy for the sole purpose of procreation. when a female is seriously sexually aroused there is a ovulation cycle taking that inclines her to the sexual act.this ovulation cycle is no more than the egg moving into a position to be fertilized. When a man is sexually aroused he too is going through a biological sperm cycle whereby his sperm has reached a point it can be ejaculated most forcibly. when a man is humping on a women during the sexual act that pumping action acts as a force to propel the sperm towards the ova(up stream)so as to initiate the birth process. When we misuse that which Allah has given us for a specific use we will eventually reap what we sow!

Islam and homosexuality

As a supporter of GLW, I am very disappointed that Leon Harrison (GLW #519) is attacking us like a right-wing columnist. It would have been very easy for him to contact myself through GLW, which has my email address and my phone number. Had he bothered to do so, he would have been able to get the facts on these baseless and malicious allegations.

Firstly, Sheik Shady did not call for the introduction of an Islamic court. What he did was to outline the scriptural penalty for homosexuality and then he was very careful to make sure that everyone in attendance knew that such a penalty could not be implemented by anyone other than an Islamic court and an Islamic court cannot be established unless through a Caliph. As there was no such person, such a penalty cannot be applied.

He stressed that those who disagree with the gay lifestyle can only resort to counselling, he preached respect and peaceful means to resolve disagreement. He never called for the stoning of any person for any crime, sin or activity.

As for me, I never called for or endorsed vilification or discrimination of homosexuals. In answer to a question about counselling, I told the person that counselling must be based on principles and on what the person believes to be correct. If you believe that a person is engaging in self harm, counsel them with advice that would help them to break away from that self harm. If this advice is against workplace policy, then you have to determine whether the interest of the person and your principles are greater or the workplace policy.

As for Hanan, she is also misquoted. She never said that she denied any person the right to attend the lecture, it was an open forum. It is ludicrous to suggest that the person mentioned could not attend when a number of senior gay activists were welcome and were allowed to pose any question they wished. The allegations are self-negating by their very nature.

What Hanan said was that she would not allow another person on the panel, this was her prerogative as it is the prerogative of any organiser to choose whom they wish to be presenting their argument. The other person could organise their own forum and speak anytime they wish, the other person was also welcome to attend along with those who attended. I am extremely disappointed that GLW did not give me the courtesy of addressing these allegations before they were published.

All credit goes to the Gay and Lesbian community papers for refusing to publish such baseless accusations.

Salam Alaykoom brothers and Sisters,

And I do welcome non-Muslims and pro-gay representatives who are wanting to hear Islam's view of homosexual behaviour, but I will also talk about homosexuality in light of scientific evidence, and then what we as a Muslim community need to do to address the increasing prevalence of Muslims who are 'choosing' to practice homosexuality or are struggling with it.

Before I start, a show of hands that agree that:

Homosexuality is haram within Islam?

- surprisingly, in a study I did last year, 30% of Muslims from a sample of about 82 Muslims did not know if homosexuality was immoral or even thought it was OK. This I think is the result of a few things, too much Big Brother, Neighbours, Home and Away and Sex and the City, the public school's unIslamic influence, and not enough education from the parents or individual reading of Islam.

Tonight's topic of homosexuality in Islam, is not taboo.

Anyone who thinks it is should re-read their scriptures as the Prophet (saw) did say 'lay haya fi din' There is no shyness in religion. A 10 year old can pick up the Quran and read the Story of Prophet Lut and his struggle with the homosexual population and there are hadiths on the issue.

The taboo about discussing this topic only comes from culture and not religion. And religion should be given precedence over culture when they contradict one another. As one set of rules is Divine and the other is man-made.

So, why is a Muslimah talking about this issue in front of a Muslim audience, the answer to this shall develop on its own during the end of the talk, Inshallah.

ISLAM AND HOMOSEXUALITY

So, what do Islamic Scriptures say about homosexuality:
5 references to homosexual behaviour in the Quran, but 2 of them are most explicit:

Lot said to his people, "You commit such an abomination; no one in the world has done it before! You practice sex with the men, instead of the women. Indeed, you are a transgressing people." [7:80-81]

"Do you have sex with the males, of all the people? You forsake the wives that your Lord has created for you! Indeed, you are transgressing people." [26:165-166]

Hence, just from these verses we can deduce that Islam forbids any sexual relationship other than between man and woman, and even then, it must be within a marriage. In a hadith, Abu Hurairah (ra) reported Allah's Messenger (pbuh) said:

'Four types of people awake under Allah's anger and go to bed under Allah's displeasure.' Those who were listening asked: Who are they, Messenger of Allah?' He replied: 'Men who imitate women, women who imitate men, those who have sex with animals, and men who have sex with men.'

Another hadith:

Narrated AbuSaid al-Khudri: The Prophet (saw) said: 'A man should not look at the private parts of a man, and a woman should not look at the provate parts of another woman. A man should not lie with another man without wearing lowe garment under one cover; and a woman should not lie with another woman without wearing lower garment under one cover' [Abu Dawood].

The concept of sexuality cannot be taken away from the underlying principles of Islam, where the sexual function is in itself a sacred one, expressing the will and the power of God.

The acceptance of one's God-given sex is a form of surrender to God or sumission to Allah. The unity and harmony intended by God is constituted by the union of a man and a women in a lawful sexual act within marriage. Any other way of seeking or acting out a sexual desire violates the order of the world and is condemned as a source of evil and anarchy.

So, zina or adultery is condemned because it goes against the harmonious complementarity of the sexes outside the divinely commanded limits. On the other hand, Liwat, or homosexuality, is condemned because it involves the rebellious rejection of the harmonious complementarity of the sexes which Allah (swt) has given.

Both these acts involve intentional actions which go against Allah's (swt) law. Thus, from an Islamic point of view, it makes no sense to say one has been 'created homosexual' than it does to say one has been 'created adulterous'. While most who practice homosexuality argue that they were created that way and they have no choice in the matter, a notion that is still disputed in the scientific world, this argument still would change what is clearly explained in the Quran.

There is no changing the Quran. The Quran is a perfect guide for humanity. Human law nor science is above Allah (swt). Islam teaches that if people have sinful desires they should keep it to themselves and control them in order to avoid doing what is haram or forbidden. So, having sinful desires are not punishable unless you act on them. You are not judged by you feelings but actions or behaviour. You can have the propensity, inclination, or tendency to be attracted to the same-sex, but it does not necessarily mean you have to act on them.

We all have the tendency to become violent, jealous, evil, and anger, but this does not necessarily mean we have to act on them. Islam has recognized the tendency for people to be attracted to the same-sex through the Whisperings of Shaytan, and that is why through Allah's Wisdom the Quran and Sunnah are listed with preventative measures so we are not be prone to acting on these desires. And this brings into light the difference between what homosexuality means in Islam and what homosexuality means is in the modern world.

Now the view of the West or modern secular society is that both the terms homosexuality and homosexual orientation exist but these differ greatly with Islam. Firstly, there is no such concept of homosexuality in Islam. An Arabic word which describes homosexuality is liwat which refers to 'the doing of Lut's people'. Thus, it implies an activity, a behaviour, not a thought or feeling, it's an active behaviour. So Islam views sodomy as behaviour only, and not thinking about the behaviour. So, you are not a homosexual or a luti because you think of same-sex attraction, but you when you act on these fantasies, you then become a luti or homosexual in Islamic terms.

In contrast, the western concept of homosexuality and homosexual orientation includes both behaviour and feelings.

1) Homosexuality is defined by western researchers not in terms of behaviour but in terms of sexual orientation or sexual preference. Hence, a homosexual person is one who 'experiences emotional and/or physical attraction' towards people of the same sex. This definition is supposed to be a universal one.

2) Homosexuality and heterosexuality are on opposite ends of the spectrum and that both sexualities are natural and normal. So, having a homosexual lifestyle is just as valid as a heterosexual one.

3) A person is not a homosexual by choice, since homosexual orientation is possibly linked to biological or genetic influences.

Hence, homosexuals are gay by destiny and not by choice. And because they are born that way, they should not be morally judged because they are just as normal of a heterosexual person. And because there is no such thing in Islam of a fixed inclination, or fixed genetic predisposition, there is always the possibility that a person's behaviour might change, for example through a conscious choice to obey God's commandments.

So, it can be pointed out that both the terms homosexuality and homosexual orientation make no sense in Islam, except where it has been imported by the West. There is no notion of exclusive homosexuality and no gay way of life. The concept of sexuality cannot be taken away from the underlying principles of Islam, where the sexual function is in itself a sacred one, expressing the will and the power of god.

There is Wisdom in Allah's rulings and they do not change and He only gives us these restrictions for the benefit of humanity. So, it should be crystal clear even literally clear that Islam forbids homosexual behaviour.

If we turn to science now and homosexuality, you will be shocked with the results.

SCIENCE AND HOMOSEXUALITY

When I refer to homosexuality, I am talking about male homosexuality, primarily because lesbianism, which is strongly agreed by researchers is more a product of society or the environment than it is anything to do with biology or genetics. So, really, women are behaving in this unnatural manner just for the thrill of it, because there is nothing in science that can possibly explain away their behaviour.

Homosexuality is a social dilemma because the homosexual lifestyle is ever-increasing, but it really only increased and became so public and 'normal' resulting from the deception of scientific researchers and a political and emotional push by pro-Gay groups.

I will present 2 major scientific studies that had an impact in the study of homosexuality and their effects on changing the minds of researchers, psychologists, psychiatrists, and counsellors, governments, media, educational institutions.

SCIENCE

Let me first stress that science itself cannot be deceptive. Why? Science is neutral, it is amoral. It does not support not does it hurt religion. Science is fact but does not explain all the knowledge that is beyond science, such as spirituality and metaphysics.

The deception is not with science but with scientific researchers. It is their assumptions or their reasoning or toying with science to support their own prejudices or biases that is deceptive.

In the debate over homosexuality, the data supporting a genetic basis are all scientifically weak. In 1991 a small, a study published by a Gay Activist Simon LeVay caused mass hysteria by hypothesizing, with supporting data, that gay men have a smaller nucleus of the part of the brain called - hypothalamus - than straight men. All the homosexual brains that he studied were of men who died of complications due to AIDS. Heterosexual or straight men had a bigger part of the brain than did homosexual men. And even more surprisingly is the fact that the homosexual men turned out to have the same sized nucleus in the brain as women.

So because they had different nucleus sizes in the brain, this makes them homosexual, so they then were born that way, it is biological and ra ra ra. He went on so many shows like those Oprah shows, news, a current affairs, documentaries - claiming he may have found something in the brain that made him a homosexual. So, the public was bombarded with genetic and biological claims to homosexuality.

But the real scientist knows, that his results were not clear-cut and does not suggest anything specific. There were major flaws in his research.

Firstly, the dead brains he used in his research of homosexuals died from AIDS, so that their brain may have deteriorated because of their medical condition. And most importantly, it may have been the homosexual behaviour or activity that made that particular area of the brain a smaller size, not that they were that size to start up with.

So, 'normal' straight men would have a bigger nucleus in the hypothalamus part of the brain because they are masculine and act masculine and behave like real men should. And homosexuals, on the other hand, are acting maybe more feminine and less masculine, and that is the reason why homosexual men may have the same sized nucleus in the hypothalamus as females. Because they are behaving non-masculine, they are not activating the masculine part of the brain for it to enlarge.

What I am trying to point out is that certain behaviours and conditions can make the brain increase and decrease under certain conditions. This study caused a lot of misinterpretations by the media, the media knows nothing about science, but want to broadcast interesting and exciting news, and with a little help from Gay Activists, they will get the false message across that homosexuality is biological, and hence normal.

There were a lot of studies conducted trying to find biological causes to homosexuality, but none were more popular or even more dangerous than Dean Hamer's research in 1993, who claimed to have finally found the 'gay gene'. Hamer found a possible genetic marker on chromosome branch X28 in 40 brothers who were both homosexual. Research seemed to be on the verge of proving that homosexuality is innate, genetic and therefore unchangeable, a normal variant of human nature. The vast majority of readers were urged to believe that homosexuals had been proven to be "born that way." Gays rejoiced at a breakthrough that explained why they were gay. So, by then, psychologists finally had to come to accept homosexuality as genetic and it was unethical to try to make homosexuals into heterosexuals or straight people because this would be biologically impossible.

The skilful deception by scientists is when they try and get their research published in psychology journals so that they can reach their target audience, psychologists, to rethink how they deal with people. Psychologists are the key in trying to normalise behaviour, so if you want to prove criminal activity, violence, promiscuity, homosexuality, drug addiction is genetic, perform the scientific study and publish it in psychology journals.

Two years after this study, we have a crash landing. The gay gene was exposed by a team of clinical neurologists in the U.S. Their study used more participants and used better scientific methods as Hamer, and the clinical team "found no evidence of linkage of the gay gene".

So, no evidence was found for a gay gene. So the gay gene theory is all but dead.

How many people in the audience have heard anyone suggest that homosexuality is genetic?

But it did not die aloud. Nobody will know of these studies unless they are looking for it in a research journal. I was looking for this information because I am interested in the whole area of biology and homosexuality, but does the media bother to broadcast this finding that there is no gay gene. No, because, everyone and some Christian Churches have accepted homosexuality as biological, therefore natural. There is no need to transform the minds of the people, their agenda has been fulfilled.

Anyone, therapists, psychologist or psychiatrist who attempts to suggest that homosexuality is not biologically determined, but a choice and can be changed, is up for career suicide as Gay groups get up in uproar and try to silence them using political measures. If you want to say homosexuality is a sin or immoral, like in Australia some reverends have spoken against homosexuals, Gay groups defame the person by putting obscene people or make obscene images of the person and place them on a Mardi Gras floats for public humiliation. They think we must progress in accepting alternative lifestyles, they think that morals must change at the same pace of technology. While new technology is good for society, new morality brings nothing to the society but chaos!

But why were people so ready to believe in this piece of genetic determinism, which now turns out to be a biological fiction, in the first place? The birth and death of the gay gene tells us a great deal about researchers own prejudices and how they perceive science.

People often react strongly against religious fundamentalism, but people generally seem ready to swallow all varieties of scientific fundamentalism.

Consider how we treat two kinds of truth claims. If someone claims that homosexuality is a sin to be punished by death because it says so in the Bible, Torah, or Quran which is the word of God, most of us (rightly) react with horror. We tend to see such a person as a religious nut or extremist who needs psychological help than convincing.

If, on the other hand, someone claims that homosexuality is a genetically determined trait, caused by a particular sequence in the DNA, we tend to think of this as a reasonably rational claim to truth. Even if we disagree with such a position, we nonetheless view the person adopting it as someone who needs convincing rather than a straitjacket. If scientists today said they looking for a 'terrorist gene', everyone will probably believe them, because they are scientists and scientists hold the knowledge of truth. Why is there such a difference in reasoning styles between the religious and scientists? Because we are conditioned to believe that any statement that sounds scientific, however ill-founded or harmful, should be respected and given the benefit of the doubt. After all, if it is based on experiments and mathematical deduction, it can't be all wrong, can it? So those who make such statements are entitled to a respectful hearing.

Let me stress strongly that science is not evil, but it is possible for scientists to delude themselves that they are producing scientific facts when they are only confirming their own prejudices. Later, to his fellow scientists honestly acknowledged the limitations of his research. Dean Hamer, the supposed founder of the Gay Gene has said that stated along the lines that homosexuality is not inherited and is not rooted essentially in biology. LeVay, the researcher who studies the gay brains also acknowledges that he hasn't found a brain centre for homosexuality. Researchers have played the game of biology, unfairly, and won to win over psychiatrists and psychologists, even though they still lost to science.

In the end, homosexuality, was never and will never be found to be genetic, and all the hype researchers initially had in trying to find the 'gay gene', has ceased.

It used to be common for people who commit wrongdoings or sins that they would say that 'the devil made me do it', in other words that they had no control over their actions as they were encouraged by devils and satan to perform such sinful behaviour.

Nowadays, with the new sophisticated genetic and biological knowledge, we now have a new Satan, our genes. Nowadays we say, 'my genes made me do it.'

I can imagine them screening for a terrorist gene using a checklist:

Q1 What is your religious affiliation? Muslim

Q2 What is your ethnic background Both my parents are Palestinian -double whammy, by then ASIO will be at the door

Q3 Do you have a pilots licence A No, but my brother has one and he can land the plane By then they will take me to Camp X-ray in S. America.

There is now research implying that we have aggressive genes, alcoholic genes, drug addiction genes, and adultery genes. So, whatever, our genes program us to do, we do. Hence, all our behaviour, whether moral immoral can be traced down to minute, microscopic genes. Think about it brothers and sisters, if there was an alcoholic gene that exists, why is it that most Muslims do not drink, is it because we do not have the genes for alcoholism, or because of a conscious choice due to religion not to drink. It is the conscious choice, or rational thinking of a person that gives rise free-will. Freedom to chose between right and wrong. We chose not to practice homosexuality, we chose not to drink or commit incest because our religion tells us not to, and we are not at the mercy of our genes, but to the mercy of Allah (swt).

Even if, certain behaviours were found to be genetic, does not condemn us to be slaves to those genes. Our genes do not dictate who we are, and what we do, but through thought and reflection we decide how we go about our life.

Pro-Gay groups would probably want to call me a Homophobe, you know like homophobia. But I am no more a homophobe than they are a Islamaphobe.

Homophobia is a frequently used term used by homosexuals or homosexual supporters to label people who are against homosexuality. Then you will get the argument if you oppose homosexual behaviour that your are homophobic. Phobia is a clinical word that means an irrational fear. You know when some people see a spider, their blood pressure rises, their heart beats faster, and they panic, that's a phobia. How many of us on coming in contact with a homosexual, did u experience these inner physiological reactions because you see them. None. As we as Muslims do not have an irrational fear of them, but just simply disagree with the behaviour the act. If they say, that you are homophobic, say they ate Islamophobic because they would disagree with Islam and its teachings and the behaviour of Muslims. If you ask them if they have an irrational fear where they panic when they see us and they say 'no'. We just don't like what u practice, argue with them and say that then it is not a phobia but a disagreement with behaviour.

So, here's my question, how many people when they see a homosexual start sweating, panic and can't go on with life in fear of that person. No-one.

So how do they take on board this psychological term of phobia to explain people who just disagree with their behaviour.

GAY MUSLIM - DUAL IDENTITY

This is such a contradiction. Islam is Submission to Allah and a muslim is one who submits to Allah, not one who submits to their whims and desires. And using the term Gay Muslim is trying to equate sexual identity with religious identity. You cant have these separate identities as when you are Muslim, the sexual practice can only be heterosexual. I have never read a hadith where the Prophet (saw) explained the way of life of a homosexual couple.

The religious identity must reign supreme over the sexual identity and not even equal to, as the sexual identity is only part of the whole and not vice versa. You don't try and fit Islam with sexuality but your sexuality must fit under the umbrella of Islam. Being sexual does not make you religious BUT your religious identity, your fitrah, GUIDES your sexuality.

The terms Gay Muslim are total opposites. The same for other religions, you cant be a Gay Christian or a Gay Jew as in their true scriptures, its immoral and they cant co-exist on equal footing.

Muslims have never needed a sexual identity like hetero-Muslim. So bro what is your background? Oh I am a Lebanese Gay Muslim. And he says, what are you? I am an Australian Straight Muslim. This is absurd walla. Has a sexual identity been introduced as an abridged form of Islam. Can you be a Muslim thief, or a Muslim paedophile, or a Muslim rapist? No, as you cannot attach what is inherently sinful in Islam to the religious identity as it goes against what a Muslim is. You can call yourself a Muslim psychologist, a Muslim doctor or a Muslim teacher as these can all co-exist as long as they adhere to Islamic principles, but homosexuality does not. Can you be a promiscuous Muslim?

Proud people who practice homosexuality and call themselves Muslim undergo this constant struggle of questioning their forbidden behaviour. There is a constant struggle where his nafs or ego is being pushed and pulled from the spiritual side to the physical side, until the physical senses win over him. Their behaviour is at war with their spirit.

Everyone has a soul and a jin, and the jin is pleased as long as you stay confused and disobey Allah's commands, as that is his role. All the while, your soul is suffering immensely. How many of us in the audience struggle with their sexual identity. How many of us ask day after day, salat after salat, ask why were we created heterosexual or straight? I doubt most of us question that because we are content with these feelings that are natural and we KNOW they are natural because Allah tells us so.

In Surah Ar-Rum :

"And among His signs is that he created for you wives from among yourselves, that you may find comfort in them, and He has placed between you affection and mercy." [30:21]

The reason Muslims question homosexual tendencies is because they know deep down inside its haram, and their conscience is eating them away. Like murders who kill an inncocent person, and keep hiding this fact until their conscience gets the better of them and they turn themselves in. They cannot escape it.

Faith or iman as the seed and the fruits that the tree bears are the behaviours that stem from the eman. Homosexuals say they have eman and they even pray 5 times a day, fast, make hajj and give charity..but you cannot expect Allah (swt) to cover His eyes while you are performing sinful sexual relations and only observe righteous deeds. So what kind of fruits are your fruits bearing? Hence, it makes no sense, to practice homosexuality and pray, make zakat, fast Ramadan.

Faith should prevent people from indulging in forbidden behaviour, for man, through the actions that he does, obeys the dictates of his beliefs and is controlled by their commands. That is why Muhammed (saw) states: "No adulterer commits adultery while in a state of faith; no thief commits a theft while in a state of faith; and no one sips wine while in a state of faith". Hence, true faith would prohibit a person who adhered to their faith from performing actions that is contradictory to its teachings, or refuse to obey it commandments.

You cannot make compromises or half-measures in your life when it comes to Islam. There are in-betweens. The choice is between right and wrong, guidance and confusion, and order and chaos, Islam and unbelief, and the way of God or the way of Satan. ..

Hands up those who have heard of Al-Fatiha Group based in the US? Hands up who know that the Al-Fatiha Group marched in this years' Sydney's Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras. Hand's up those who don't know what I am talking about and do not know who Al-Fatiha are?

Al-Fatiha is an Muslim organization for those Muslims who identify themselves as Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transexual, and the Transgendered people who think Islam permits all these behaviours, sex changes, the confused he shes and the she hes as permissible, and that Allah created them that way..and that Allah loves them. And in South Africa, they are called Al-Fitrah..

I think they should be called Al-Kuffara as they have adopted two beautiful Islamic words and polluted these terms to their advantage and are guided more rightly by their low sexual desires than anything spiritual or remotely intellectual.

These people fast, pray 5 times a day. Started with Faisal Alam (the President of Al-Fatiha). Funded by zionists. They are sitting in their secretive little places that you can only get in with a security card from fear. No Sheikh has accepted them as an Islamic organization.

The irony is, in Surah Al-Fatiha, which they used to name their group, verse 6, 'Ih dina siratil mustaqeem', is translated into 'Show us The Straight Way'. The Straight way, not the Queer way, this is why they don't think. If you look at the Al-Fatiha website and read why they think Islam should permit homosexuality, it makes no sense and their reasoning is illogical and secular and they cant even interpret the Quran and Hadith correctly. None of the members are Islamic scholars guided by intellect but by sexual desires.

Its like they are intensely desperate to get some confirmation that what they are doing is right in Islam.but this support is never forthcoming as they have been cursed by Muslim Sheikhs. They look for loopholes within the Islamic teachings to try and promote themselves as acceptable within Islam.

HOW TO BE A MUSLIM HOMOSEXUAL

Everyone has read books on How to be a good Muslimah or Muslim. Or How to be a Muslim wife, rarely do we see books on how to be a Muslim husband but there is a new 'How to be a Muslim' guide on the Web Its called How to be a Muslim Homosexual. If ever I read such unintelligent rubbish that is loaded with emotional and illogical reasoning it would have to be this article. This guy cannot accept any restriction imposed on him sexually, and yet calls himself Muslim. What's worse, he says he is a convert from Christian to Islam as Islam accepts homosexuality.

The essential problem with people like the members of Al-Fatiha and other Muslims who support people like that (and there are plenty in Sydney), is that they confuse between 'FEELINGS' and 'KNOWING'. Homosexuals 'feel' they were born that way and that the common statement they give. And no-one can argue with that because it is a subjective feeling. If I say I feel Palestinian and I feel Australian, no-one can debate that either because it's a subjective feeling. But while I feel Aussie and Palestinian, I KNOW I AM MUSLIM.

If you feel Muslim, that is blind faith, as you must Know that your are Muslim. You cant have faith without reason in Islam.

So how do you know you are a Muslim?

I can use any field on investigation whether science, history, astronomy, and KNOW I am Muslim.

But what method of investigation, can a homosexual use to justify their sense of KNOWING? They cant, science hasn't helped them much and that is what they wanted.

So How Do They Know, how can they prove to us through conviction and knowing that homosexuality is OK. But instead they insist they feel.

I will tell you all something that is scary. I have come across counsellors who work in our area who say they are Muslim but you then wander when you talk to them. They told me that Islam should move on and accept homosexual behaviour. One told me well 'what can we do if they were born that way?' I asked her for proof of that as I know there is no proof in science, and then she says, well if they are consenting adults, there is no harm done on anyone and then it is permissible. I then asked, OK for arguments sake, if you believe its OK to practice homosexuality as long as they are consenting adults, then you must allow for pre-marital sex in Islam. She was silent. She then went on to say that my reality of Allah is different to their reality of Allah. I was like, since when were we appointed Islamic scholars and we can re-interpret Islamic teachings and permit what is haram and making it halal.

This is an outright abuse of responsibility, as Muslims are going to these Muslim? counsellors thinking that they will give them Islamic guidance when in fact, these counsellors put them in more harm with their secular positions.

Remember this, Consenting Adults also need God's Consent. Homosexuals, those who commit 'consensual incest', sex outside marriage, beastiality behaviour do not have God's consent, regardless of age. Another said to me, Islam should progress.......
"progress".

But Islam is progression. In actual fact when we start viewing homosexuality and other sexual promiscuity as acceptable, we are regressing to the time of Sodom and Gomarroh, the People of Lut, what sort of progression are they talking about!

The answer to this is simple, they are guided by feelings and emotion. Having clients come to you and say they feel that Allah created them homosexual and they don't like being that way but they cant help themselves being attracted to the same sex and you hear their struggle, pain, depression, has led the counsellor to feel sorry for these people and re-evaluate the din to say that Islam should progress and accept these Muslims and their behaviour. They tell them don't worry, Allah still loves you as he loves all his Creation. But if Allah loves homosexuals, he will also loves thieves, murderers, liars, hypocrites, criminals, etc. are then not all His Creation? How can Allah accept a behaviour that he has told us is not permissible? Did Allah make a mistake and say that homosexuality is haram for about 1400 hundred years and when humans are ready, they can start disobeying my Laws, being a progressive civilisation, and I will start accepting all evils...c'mon

This is where we fall as Muslims when we start making decisions based on emotional reasoning and we forget that we as humans are weak, when a counsellor says to a Muslim client that its OK to be gay and a practicing Muslim, are we Sheikhs to say this. No Sheikh has accepted homosexuality as normal, acceptable, or permissible, so who are we to question Islamic scriptures using emotion.

So, if so many youths start coming to us and say that I feel like sleeping with this person but I am too young to get married but its killing me not sleeping with this person because I love him or her. Do we then permit pre-marital sex on the basis of that one particular individual or even 1000 similar cases. Do we change the teachings of Islam because they society we live in permit homosexuality, pre-merital sex, beastilaity, orgies, bisexuality, nudity. Is this what they mean by progressive Islam or secular Islam?

"If two men among you are guilty of lewdness, punish them both. If they repent and amend, leave them alone; for Allah is Oft-Returning, Most Merciful" [Surah 4, Ayah 16]

So we have established by using Islam, Science, and Rationality that homosexual behaviour is not permissible. What do we do to help the Muslims who are struggling with these tendencies or want to stop the homosexual practice? You know, if we do nothing as a community, the problem will just increase until we a re-enactment of Sodom and Gomarrah, the People of Lut all over again. The more we walk in the streets of Lakemba and wont think of helping people outside this area, the more our Ummahs problem will ever increase. We have the non-Muslims doing our responsibility. We have left the counselling and therapy to people that when they talk to us, its like an alien culture. Why? Because we know Islam will only be the solution to help us out of a hole, but there are no Muslims talking to them, so they sink deeper into that hole and it is our fault. Yep. Its our fault alright because you can all argue that they got themselves into trouble by fist taking drugs, becoming homosexuals, drinking alcohol of having sexual relationships, but when they are aware that what they are doing is detrimental and want to come back to the faith, where are we aiding them? Where are our hands reaching out when they are in need of a pull.

We have Islamic lessons for brothers and sisters and give dawa to the 'good people' and we judge 'who is worthy of Islam' so we give them the message. Who are we to judge, who made us Hakim . The message of Islam is for all humanity, not the 'good people' only. Who is to say that the so-called 'bad people' will not take hold of Islam better then me and you?

Look at Yusuf Islam, Sex Drugs and Rock n Roll, turned mashallah good Muslim. Who would think that a personality like him, would chose Islam? Who is to say that a Muslim who enjoins in haram behaviour won't go back to his faith and strives to please Allah, will not be better than the person who never committed a major sin? No-one knows.

That's my point, we do not know. Our job is to offer the service and guide them and leave judgment for Allah (swt). Who are we to choose who is deserving of Islam?

Islam is a message for humanity.

Let us help ourselves, our brothers and sisters and stop judging one another on who is deserving or not deserving and leave that to the Ultimate Judge Rabil Alameen.

The Muslims have gone underground. And going underground is the worst way to go. And the worst thing is that Muslims have gone underground because there is no other place to go. Subhanallah, they refuse to go to unIslamic counseling because they don't feel comfortable, and they don't trust them. And even I they go to unIslamic organizations for help, they feel as if they are talking a different language because of its non-religion emphasis. These troubled Muslims are screaming for Islam and desperate for Islamic help and we in return SHAME them as a community, turn our backs on them, we pretend they don't exist. And if they end up at Gay Counselors, the Muslims would walk in feeling confused and then after enough sexual brain washing they will confidently come out and say 'I a Gay'. They are like recruitment agencies, recruiting people to be like them.

Where is the Islamic equivalent to Barnados, the Salvation Army, Mission Australia. Where are these organizations that 'Reach out' to Muslims on the streets, or in the dark alleys or at public places. Prophet sallallaahu `alaihi wa sallam was reported to have said in a hadeeth, as narrated by Abu-Moosa, may Allaah be pleased with him: "The example of the unity of the Muslims is like the example of a single structure, its parts strengthening and supporting one another" [Bukhaari & Muslim]

Our structure as a community is weak. The problem is we leave our Ummahs issues to be solved by non-Muslim organizations and we go about our lives as if nothing is going wrong. We walk down Haldon St and buy our meat from the Halal butchery, attend and Islamic lesson, maybe buy an Islamic book and we go home. And we say, Alhamdullilah, today I saw my community and I am at peace. And then we go home, turn on the TV and watch Big Brother. You know today ,we are more worried about who is getting evicted from Big Brother than we are about helping the Ummah in need an Ummah in crisis. Our struggling community are addicted on drugs in Cabramatta and Bankstown. And Bankstown is a drugs swimming pool for Muslims The Muslim females are selling their bodies to pay for their drug addiction, the Muslim men who take up drugs by the 3rd month are most likely to get Hep C which is an irreversible disease. He will give this to his wife, who then gives it to her child through pregnancy. Why? Because he reuses or shares the needles he takes drugs from because he is so ashamed that he is addicted, we do not give them advice. They are not educated with the harms of the repercussions of what happens to them if they at least reduce the harm to themselves and consequently their families.

You may say to yourself, well he took up drugs, let him suffer the consequences of his actions? OK, so then what is it his wife and innocent baby's crime in getting Hep C and HIV. Do we condemn his whole family just because we wont get out onto the Streets and educate and help these people? Or the woman who is selling her body and neglecting her kids just to be able to feed her cravings that would ease her addiction pain and so that she can somewhat be there for her kids? They feel shame, guilt, and loneliness and feel so low that they just wish they knew how to get out of their misery. They know that they want to meet Allah free of sin but while they are hesitant to reach out because they feel ashamed, we do not even offer them a rope to get out of that hole. Tha is what they need HOPE.

So many health professionals cannot help muslims because they think differently. Muslims know of Iman and know of Islam, and when they are in need, they need Islam, not modern secular theories that separate the person from their religion. Muslims live and breathe their religion and Muslims when they go to non-Muslim therapy, its like going to MARS or another culture altogether. It does not fit well with Muslims. And this is not coming from me, but from Health and Drug professionals. At the moment I am working with Sheikh Shadi in order to try and marry Islam and psychological therapy. Even if they went to a Sheikh, they can only get to the heart of the Muslim and tell them to be patient with their struggles, turn to Allah and repent, and ask Allah for help but the Sheikh cannot offer the therapy, his skills are right at the heart of the person and this is where a marriage between Islam and Psychology or Islam and Counselling comes into place. Change happens through process.

Sometimes people think that if they pray enough or wish hard enough, their homosexuality will just disappear. This is an unrealistic expectation. Changes in the area of sexual orientation happen as a result of a process which usually involves some hard personal work.

Imagine wanting a vegetable garden. You could pray for years that God would make vegetables grow in your backyard. When nothing happens, you might even decide to be angry at God for not hearing your prayers. However, the reality is that while God can make vegetables grow, we must prepare the soil, plant the seeds, water and weed, and do other work. This gives the best chance that there will be an abundance of vegetables to harvest. In the same way, individuals who want to experience changes in their sexuality must do a lot of work as part of the process. God certainly does His work, and by His Spirit accomplishes things which we cannot do ourselves, but we need to prepare the space in our lives and cooperate with what God wants to do.

May Allah make firm our minds, and guide our souls, and guide us to the Truth and Show us the Straight way, and keep us away from the Queer path.

Homophobia and Islamic fundamentalism

SYDNEY — While I have always supported struggles for social justice in Palestine and I am opposed to the US war drive against Iraq, I find that, as a gay man, my own community is under attack from not only Christian fundamentalism but also Islamic fundamentalism.

On June 28, representatives of the Canterbury-Bankstown District Gay and Lesbian Social Group (CBD), the AIDS Council of NSW (ACON) West, Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays Western Sydney and South Western Sydney Area Health Service attended a lecture at the University of Western Sydney (UWS) Bankstown campus, entitled “Islam and homosexuality: an Islamic, scientific and logical approach”.

The content of the lecture was grossly homophobic. The organisations attending were extremely alarmed that such a meeting was permitted in a place of public learning and social enquiry. Some of the main concerns arising from the lecture included:

· Sheik Shadi, an Islamic cleric, called for an Islamic court to be set up in Australia, which would give Muslims the power to stone gay men and lesbians to death;

· Keysar Trad, vice-president of the Lebanese Muslim Association, rejected the concept of anti-discrimination and anti-vilification legislation and urged Muslims to defy these laws; and

· Hannan Dover, a lecturer in psychology at UWS (Bankstown), told the meeting that she would not allow a gay lecturer at the university to attend the lecture. She also informed the audience that she would not allow progressive, pro-gay Muslims to attend the lecture, nor would she allow them to join a group she was establishing for Muslim health workers.

Brad Gray from ACON's anti-violence project and other participants left the meeting feeling extremely fearful for the safety of all gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people, especially those from an Islamic background.

Since the meeting, letters have been written to the vice-chancellor of UWS asking how Hannan Dover's attitudes and work practices in relation to this issue fit with the university's equal employment opportunity policy.

The CBD has also written letters to state and federal MPs, as well as the Canterbury and Bankstown city councils, asking for support and assistance in condemning the statements expressed at the meeting. As a result of the campaign, Dover has been suspended from lecturing in psychology.

The CBD is organising a campaign to ensure the continuing safety of the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transexual communities.

However, gay and lesbian community newspapers have been silent on this issue. They need to publicise attacks by all fundamentalists whether Christian, Jewish or Islamic. None of the gains made so far by the queer community in terms of civil rights can be allowed to be defeated.

RACISIM: An Islamic Response

In her maiden speech in parliament, Pauline Hanson revealed the egoist nature of Western society. Her stance was supported by Graham Campbell, who is notorious for his anti-Islam view. We look at the nature of Australian society, and compare it within the context of Islam.

Part 1: ELITISM

He said: I am better than him, You created me from fire, and created him from clay." [S7:V12]

So was the first reported case of elitism, and the promise, that through the same trap, Satan would attempt to beguile humanity.

The second reported case was the competition between Cain and Able, that bout of elitism ended in the elitist killing the humble of the two. (refer 5: 27-31)

Ever since, man has been trying to prove that he is better than the next, except for those saved by Allah.

What brings one to write about elitism? Is it indeed the threat faced by the society we live in when a member of this society abuses her position of honour, and stirs these feelings of elitism? You know, the case between Adam and Satan was one being exclaiming superiority over another, the case with Cain and Able was that of one person not being able to bear the superiority of another when this was proven to him, so he killed him.

Today, the elitist builds a cult, to rally support, and then looks for what it considers the weakest in its society, and rallies its cult to prey on this weak section of its society. It can go on a larger scale, if it is intelligent, and make all in its society members of its cult, and prey on neighbouring societies.

I cannot resist the Hitler parallel, wanting to destroy every person who did not fit into the particular mould he had in mind, and today's fame-starved individuals who have an image, and appear to believe that fitting to that image holds the salvation for the society they live in.

So Pauline Hanson talks about the big picture, without looking at it; she looks at the threat from the position of a desperate coward, not realising the opportunities which a little tact, a little research, and the realisation of just how powerful one is, would generate for the improvement of her society.

Then we have Graeme Campbell, who went a step further and actually named Muslims as being undesirable immigrants because Islamic fundamentalism is so alien to western culture.

He was sufficiently brave to actually come out and say this, yet, from the Muslim viewpoint, our ideology is the best salvation for the people of Australia, and the people of the world in general. Yes, we are a threat to the culture of drunkenness, paedophilia, and mostly we are a big threat to the culture of ELITISM.

To us, the most honourable is the most pious, and we are not in the position to judge this piety, so we as Muslims, are fundamentally opposed to the notion of elitism. We encourage the principle that we are all to Adam, and Adam was created from earth.

The noise generated by so many, and the mass support that these elitist individuals seem to rally is incredible to say the least. It would be easier to understand this mentality in Rwanda, or in some South American countries, or any third world country where Islam is a minority. But in Australia, it is extremely perturbing.

So how is this elitism countered? It seems that the reaction only came when the bank balance started to suffer, when condemnation came from the president of the Olympic body, from our foreign customers, from people who can influence our own personal benefits. They were not criticised because their views are evil, not because they are destructive, but because they would reflect badly on us.

How many from our own community reacted on the basis that Pauline is threatening our own personal lifestyles? How many of us were angered for Allah alone, rather than self interest? If we are angered because of self interest, then we are no different to her, we should sign up as fellow elitists.

How far removed are these elitist notions from our Messenger (peace and blessings upon him), he used to look for these disadvantaged groups and be the first to offer assistance, and encouraged his companions and all Muslims to offer assistance to them.

Traditionally, the Muslim notion and reaction is to welcome a disadvantaged person, and serve upon them, and offer every assistance which we are capable of. This indeed is diametrically opposed to the elitist views which are touted by so many in this community.

Let them go back to their own country! They stuffed it up there, let them solve their own problems! We do not want their problems in our country! When in Rome, do as the Romans do! They do not assimilate! Assimilation is now the most vile word to my hearing because it has been so abused by these people.

It is astounding how, when Pauline started the assimilation argument that the media found a Muslim woman wearing the Hijab, slightly overweight, doing her shopping, and channel nine would show her in an advertisement for one of their shows, right after the assimilation comment. They do not film a fat Australian woman in tight bicycle shorts, or tight pants, or an Australian drunk, or a nun, or an Australian welfare cheat. NO!!! They show a Muslim woman wearing a Hijab, she is not assimilating, it would be okay if this same woman walked around in bicycle shorts, with her body vulgarly bulging out to the point of regurgitation.

These people are whacked, they have not got a clue! Unfortunately, there are too many of them to be described as a minority. Perhaps they are the vocal section of a wider group, because it seems that the Liberal and Labour governments have tacitly approved and employed a form of discrimination in their policies before this fiasco.

One just needs to look at the points system, and how these favour European migrants. Or the government services, or the way non - Westerners are treated by many in our community.

However, the politically correct discrimination practised by other Parliamentarians was different. Whilst it was there, and enforced, the little man, who had become accustomed to so much being given to him, did not really understand it, it was too subtle, and too well exercised, you had to be astute to discover it.

Pauline Hanson was the panacea for this little man who needed it spelled out. Her words, although they did not call for action against migrants who are already in this country, gave this little man the license to vet out his frustrations on these migrants. Instead of guarding the borders of the country against the illegal entrants into Australia, he wanted to reverse the migration, and make life intolerable for the migrants already here, and send them back. He does not care about their contribution to society. He did not understand why the other parliamentarians were discreet about voicing these views.

The unwillingness of the other parliamentarians to give more than the least lip service to these views just shows that these people tacitly support such views. Elitism is rife in our politics, the classic example is the report in the paper of a couple of parliamentarians wanting to gag a Greens senator for not wearing his tie, and the report named one of these as one of the people speaking out against Pauline. It is just a struggle to grab anything which will boost their egos, to justify their elitism. Simultaneously blinded to any fact which would breed understanding.

So the little man feels braver now, and is able to justify taunting our sisters when they walk in the streets as he passes them in his car. Or to taunt me because I look non Western. He is justified, because Pauline has inadvertently convinced him that such actions are the solution to the problems of this country and he is the white knight in his shining armour, with the blue Australian Blood (or should I say: the beer Australian blood) who must come to the rescue.
As these people are responding to the suggestions of Satan, unhesitantly, and the basic suggestion, the very one which fell him from grace, the "I am better than he" principle, they are heading to the same fate.

And how many a community passed away before them, which are now destroyed: "And how many a township have We destroyed while it was sinful, so that it lies in ruins, and a deserted well, and lofty tower! Have they not traveled in the land, and have they hearts wherewith to feel and ears wherewith to hear? For indeed it is not the eyes that grow blind, but it is the hearts, which are within the bosoms, that grow blind."
[S22:V45-46]

"See they not how many generation We destroyed before them, whom We had established in the earth more firmly that We have established you, and We shed on them abundant showers from the sky, and made the rivers flow beneath them. Yet We destroyed them for their sins and created after them another generation." [S6:V6]

"And We have indeed written in the Zabour after the Zikr, that the Earth will be inherited by my servants who are righteous." [S21:V105]

In a way, they feel safe because of the quantity of water which surrounds this country, so they feel fortified behind this great body, it gives them a feeling of security. But the reality is, the land belongs to God, not to them, and if those foreigners, whom they fear as migrants are not permitted to enter as migrants, they will come as settlers, in numbers so large that they will not be able to process them, hold them, or stop them. What will they do then? If these foreigners who are restraining themselves, because they see a legal hope, that they can come to this vast mainly uninhabited land for whatever reason, are told that there is no longer a legal way to come here, what will they do?

What will a starving person do when he wants food?

They will no longer respect these laws which were drafted in a cocoon away from the reality that the land of Australia does not belong to white European man. In fact, if the original inhabitants had their way, or if we want to employ Pauline Hanson justice, then white man should pack his bags and leave this country, for your people Pauline, have been the worst of guests!

The criminal dregs of white society colonised this country, and now, they only take the select choice of other societies, and the descendants of these criminal dregs tell us that they are better than us. And because we are not elitists, we tolerate them. Yet they want us to assimilate, perhaps they will only become satisfied when we each die our hair red, wear blue/green contact lenses, and operate a fish and chips shop, otherwise, we would not be truly assimilating, would we?

"As for those whose souls the angels took while still they were wronging themselves - the angels said, "in what were you engaged?" They said, "We were weak in the land." They said: "was not Allah's earth spacious, so that you might have emigrated in it?" So for those, their abode is hell, and it is a bad destination." [S4:V97]

So it is a duty for the oppressed to seek out a land where he can practice his faith without persecution, rather than join the rot.

Of course, Australia has to feature prominently in this treatise, for no reason other than the fact that I live here.

A study of other western countries will show the situation to be worse. In America for example, the situation with elitism sees the neighbouring Mexicans whose Texas was usurped from them by the Yanks being treated like unwanted feral animals, they are refused any basic human rights, and reports have been filed of their numbers being bashed and humiliated by border patrols. The US policies are more far reaching, it seems that as their power of communication, and weapon potential grows, they expand their influence and interference in the domestic affairs of foreign nations. So we see subversive activities in practically all South American countries to keep them unstable so that they can never pose a threat to the myth of the great free America.

If we look further, we see their interference in the affairs of Islamic countries which are on the other side of the globe, we see them shape the politics of Egypt, Saudi, Kuwait and many other countries, and we see them suppressing the revival of Islam there.

Canada is an example of irony, a country divided into two official languages seeing the French side banning shop signs in languages other than French.

Yet the French appear to be the most intolerant going to the extent of banning the importation of basic Islamic books into their country, including simple books such as Dr Yusuf Al-Qaradawy's "The Lawful and the Prohibited in Islam", and banning Muslim women from attending high schools and universities if their head is covered with a scarf. To the point of having police there to stop these sisters from entering university grounds.

The British are no better, their incestuous relationship and influence over Arab countries saw them debating the introduction of a new law to deport Muslims on suspicion of so called "fundamentalist" links without a trial. Not to mention their support of the Serbs in the Balkan conflict through opposing arms sale to the Bosnian Muslims.

The Germans are not free from blame either, apart from their open support to the Croatians in the Balkan conflict, Turkish Muslims have been hunted by youth gangs in Germany as well as having a number of Muslim homes burnt at the hands of these gangs.

The Communists in particular have practised their elitism against all religion and Islam in particular, turning mosques into factories, and deporting entire Muslim communities such as the mass deportation of 3 million Chechens at the end of WW2 by Stalin where one million died on the way, and their brutal invasion of Chechnya and their inhuman treatment of Muslims there.

The Chinese are also actively practicing their form of elitism on minorities in their country and abroad with persecutions of Muslims, and the entering into treaties with Russia and other countries to counter the growing threat of the "Islamic Menace".

There are other examples in Africa, Rwanda Hootoos and Tutsies, and in Palestine, where Palestinian Muslims in particular have no rights whatsoever, to the extent that the murder of a Palestinian earns the Israeli murderer a penalty of one third of a cent and a suspended prison sentence. They have an excuse though, they are "God's chosen people" - what they do not realise is that they have been chosen as fuel for His fire, but they will keep this murder going until we stop them with the help of Allah.

India, the Asian country which is dominated by the lowest of the low amongst racists, the class society which divides its own people into four classes and places people of other faiths, and Muslims in particular as the lowest of the low. The policies of these cow worshippers, and their extermination of Muslims in their countries and inside Kashmir (to the silence of Western countries) is one more example of how this feeling of elitism is not restricted to the colour of the elitist, it is a lifestyle of those idiots who have intoxicated themselves with a false feeling of power, and who actively exercise this power against others.

What it boils down to is that elitism is practised to the detriment of others in many Western countries, as well as would be Western countries, on various scales. It seems that a common victim of this elitism with all these countries is the Muslim; this is evident through both government policies and the way their media reports negatively on Islam.

The joke is on the elitists and the Muslims who stand idly by letting all this take place without exercising the power given to us by Islam. "And if you turn away, He will exchange a people other than you, then they will not be like you." [S47: V38]
